Election Protection offers help
Voters who have a beef with the election process are finding help is waiting just outside.
Election Protection volunteers at the Bond Hill Recreation Center helped a woman who was concerned about the scrunity given to her ballot, said volunteer Lorre Pennoyer. (A worker glanced at the woman's ballot and asked whether she wanted to vote on any of the propositions, Pennoyer said.) Another woman approched Election Protection with concerns about using a bank statement for identfication.
Pennoyer, a Northside resident, said she's volunteering - standing out here in the drizzle - because people should be able to exercise their right to vote. "I just think it's so terribly important," she said.
