GOP: Party hardy or cry in my beer?

The Hamilton County Board of Commission has cancelled its regularly scheduled Nov. 8 meeting.

That is the meeting after election night when Commission President Phil Heimlich will know if he won re-election or if the Democrats have a majority on the commission for the first time in 44 years.

Heimlich, a Republican, is being challenged by David Pepper, a Democrat.

Now, the board consists of (left to right) Democrat Todd Portune and Republicans Pat DeWine and Heimlich.

Good idea !

On Nov. 8, the county commission will finally have elected sound leadership in David Pepper !

I hope the Commission will, at least, release the report on the county, so, the voters can see what a wise decision they made by replacing the crony appointing, arm twisting, choke on my Drake sales giveaway hindlick !

It is certainly "cry in my beer" time as the folley fondling, issue Delay-ing, Cunningham thieving wRong wingnut whackos head to rehab !

I suppose, Noe can help them dig up some coins to pay for the ordeal ?

They can all discuss the defeats at a "Taft", in the hole 13, golf outing ?

Ney, you say ?

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2006 !

A picture's worth a thousand words - this one with Portune prominently out front, DeWine inthe middle and Heimlich fading into the background - speaks volumes.
I wonder if Heimlcih really thinks he done?
For any REpublican who survives this cleansing ritual of bad governance - I hope they are taking notes - it is time to start serving your community and not your cronies.
hey hey hey
goooood byyye

It is possible that the Democrats win every single office on the ballot in Hamilton County. Imagine this lineup

Commission: majority Dem with Portune and Pepper and Pat DeWine in the minority. DeWine is such a wimp anyway that the guy running the coffee shop across the street will have more influence than he.

County Auditor: Dusty Rhodes

State Reps: Steve Silver, Karen Adams, Connie Pillich, Brent Gray, Tyrone Yates, Steve Driehaus, Dale Mallory. (Yes it is possible and likely that we have a clean sweep here.)

State Senators: Eric Kearney and Rick Smith.

That leaves the GOP with only loudmouth bigot Bill Seitz and ineffective Patty Clancy in Columbus. Clancy is not on the ballot and Seitz is unopposed, the only reasons they'll still be clogging up the joint.

After the Democrat commissioners control the county budget, expect some serious cutbacks in the patronage halls of the prosecutor, sheriff, recorder, engineer, clerk of courts, and treasurer. The GOP should expect to lose these seats too, there will be enough money in the Democrats' hands that the good candidates tired of waiting in line will switch over so they can actually serve people.

We already have a majority on city council. Tarbell and Bortz are basically pro-business Democrats equal to Jeff Berding. Ghiz has seen the light. So who gives a flying fig about Chris Monzel?

Next, it's on to the suburbs in 2007. Let's elect some real concerned citizens to city councils and township trustees instead of those paid-off patronage yahoos we have "representing" us. (Rumpke, anyone?)

And we have some great candidates to run out in formerly Republican places like Colerain Township (adios Keith KKKorman supreme patronage hack), Green Township (adios, Tony Upton of the county machine), Springfield Township (adios, Tom Bryan, angry white male). The list is too long to list all the Repukes in Hamilton County suburbs who need to get voted out.

I haven't even got to the best part yet: the investigations, where we will learn just how corrupt they all were and how many years they'll all be spending in jail. We'll be able to balance the state budget with all of the public pension forfeitures.

2006, the year that set everything right.

Party time over, Repugnicants.

Jail time begins.
