MoveOn.org plans Cincy gas station rallies

Liberal group MoveOn.org plans to rally at two Cincinnati gas stations today. From their release:

In Cincinnati –

On Wednesday at 5:30pm , residents of Cincinnati will hold a “Oil-Free Congress Rally” at Two Cincinnati Locations

Corner of Edwards and Madison & Corner of Queen City and Quebec.

With July 4th next week and families traveling, gas prices are on everyone’s mind. The rally will focus on the facts that 75% of Big Oil’s contributions to Congressmen went to Republicans, and then Billions of favors are given in return. It’s time for CHANGE.

"Rally for an OIL FREE CONGRESS”

Who: Cincinnati Concerned Move-on members and friends.
Where: Corner of Edwards and Madison & Corner of Quebec and Queen City
When: 5:30pm

Oil free?? I would like to know if every moveon.orger who attends the rally gets there by walking or riding a bicycle or at a minimum taking public transportation.

Another wRong wing nut fishwrap attempt to discredit an effective organization by labeling them "LIBERAL" !

Move-on is far form liberal. They receive far to much money from a diverse group !

The fishwrap is so politically bias that they actually believe that by blasting everything liberal that will equate to evil.

The reader is fully aware where evil has come to rest and it is in corrupt conservatives.

The fishwrap has been drinking that wRong wing (geoff) Wyler lemonade and become just another rotten egg in the country !

Pathetic reporting, PERIOD !

Emulation is the sincerest form of flattery!!

This w(R)ong wing fishwrap will do everything possible to protect the oil industry, suppressing the fact that better gas mileage is available TODAY.

Anyone can get 10-15 MPG more simply by adding one cup baking soda per tank of unleaded.

Corporate greed keeps this secret away from the public, and the corporations fund the w(R)ong wing propaganda machine!!

Don't be a lacky fool! Help save the planet with simple behavior changes!!

Anon 10:57,

We would have the option of using public transportation if republicans weren't bought and paid for by the oil companies. Public transportation and alternative energies will be held back by republicans as long as Chevron and Shell are footing the bill for their campaigns. That's the point Moveon.org is making. I wouldn't expect a republican to recognize a coherent argument, though.

Anon 2:36. We do have public transportation in Cincinnati. It's called SORTA. Having lived on both the East and West side, I know for a fact that there is no problem catching a bus to these locations. In fact, the busses are most likely half-full at best.

And no light-rail plan ever conceived for Cincinnati will get you close to the locations MoveOn has staked out.

at 4:40 PM, June 28, 2006 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I'm not talking about light rail, I'm talking about a real subway, and a bus system that doesn't rely on downtown as a hub. You can get from the east side to the west, but it can take over an hour to do so. Catching a bus is no problem, but actually getting where you need to go via SORTA is a nightmare. I wouldn't expect a republican to be forward thinking, either, I guess.

Let's see: Democrats have controlled the City of Cincinnati since 1971. Democrats represented Cincinnati in Congress for 20 years during which time they were the majority party.

Democrats also controlled the Ohio legislature for 20 years from 1974-1994. It's not like the Republican governors of that era were vetoing budget bills, either.

Democrat politicians around here are much more interested in campaigning about public transportation than they are in commiting public resources to it.

Never heard about that baking soda solution. Am I guaranteed not to need a major engine repair in 10,000 miles?
Great point about Liberal label. I hate when they call Hillary an East Coast Liberal when she grew up in Illinois and Arkansas. She's only lived in NY since 2000. There, some w(R)ong wingers call her a carpetbagger.

THE OILY CHABOTHEAD gives away billions in corporate welfare

That is a dangerous mix. One that may be classified as terrorist !

I would hope that no one emulates your careless suggestion.

KNOCK It OFF. You are going to kill someone, you wRong wing nut !

You would be better to start hanging with that automotive southgate, michigan bush pioneer. He has the solution to your problem, guaranteed !

I call her the wife of a famous man.

How that qualifies her to become president, I'll never know.

Never add baking soda to diesel fuels, that invites backfires.

Greedy oil corporations hide the TRUTH about alternative fuels for diesel engines, like used vegetable oil and chicken fat from fast food restaurants.

SHAME !!

The oil industry and farm subsidies kabal just funds the wRong wing propaganda machine !!

Don't let buckwheat blackwell give any more money to the farm community - it goes STRAIGHT to lining the campaign funds of hilterbush.

VOTE NO to biofuels !!

Biofuels fund farmers and foresters - BOTH BIG Republicrap donors !!

Sue-son you need to clear the mind field and free yourself of the wRong wing covert propaganda.

By your own statements, it would appear that Hillary has excellant decision making skills !

After all, she selected the man who became famous !

So, she has foresight and the willingness to groom greatness !

Unlike the misleader who, at the same age, made self abusive decisions and preferred to have a coke straw up his running nose !

I am the Hypocritical, christian, running nose, coke glassed eyed:

Decider ?

Oh, Hillary would make an excellant president when compared to your example !

What a wacko wRong wing nut !

We can all see your covert emulation lacks integrity and character !

The only dummy buying your culture of corruption covert propaganda is yourself.

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back for being the html deceiver and misleader !

Just wondering if anyone who reads this blog was able to attend either of the rallies adn can give a full report.

Emulation is the sincerest form of flattery !!

The deceiver pretends to want alternative fuels, but lines up two greedy hogs to feed: farmers and the timber owners !!

The timber industry stands to gulp MILLIONS of dollars from the biofuel slop trough !

Farm subsidies take money away from the welfare benefits of unemployed inner-city victims of buckwheat blackwell !!

Biofuel research is just funding wRong wing supporters !!

Progressives know to REFUSE biofuels !! Don't let cokehead bush BUY another election !!

lol,lol,lol

Oh your funny !

The comedy is to be posted on the Wyler lemonade thread, though !

Now you know, as a wRong wing nut, you must conform. Click your heals and toe the party line. Send all those welfare recipients to war to fight your oil battle.

Remove their arms and their legs so they can get that tax and spend policy called social security.

Don't expect their parents to support them because we shall help the corporations void their contract with america. No way will we allow them to receive their pensions. We will make them run up their credit card dept and then refuse their claim in bankruptcy, but, we will allow the corporations to avoid their pension claims by claiming bankruptcy.

Oh yes, this is the american way !

We shall continue to implement our trickle on policy and laugh all the way into the war profiteer bank.

Our contract with america is working !

If they don't like what we are doing we shall monitor their phone, the websites they visit, their blog postings, their voter files. We shall weaken their chance to leave the country by destroying the image that america is a world leader. We can do this by ceasing individuals, deny them legal representation, invade countries, claim WMD, wait a minute, I need another line:

Our Contract with America

The decider/deceiver keeps scaring Americans into thinking we are running out of OIL, just to help pump up the CORPORATE PROFITS of the biofuel industry.

Red State Farmers will rake in more Federal dollars on top of their greedy farm subsidies for the ethanol scheme !!

YOUR VOTE MATTERS !!

Don't let the FAT CAT TIMBER INDUSTRY and the Red State reject farmers suck at the government sow's teat !!

Biofuel research and starter money goes STRAIGHT into the wRong wing nuts' coffers !!

The country only has 4.6 % unemployement, but they are all black men because buckwheat blackwell hates his own people !!

This wRong wing fishwrap just wants to protect the Conservative Red State Farmer, who stands to make ILLEGAL PROFITS from biodiesel SCHEMES !!

Anyone who can't see their obvious bias in protecting the farmer and hte land-owner from the Dems can see schmidt !!

lol,lol,lol

Wow I can't believe the crap that people write here. All of the name calling is childish from both sides. I think it sad that the people here who post actually believe the crap they write. It makes me lose my interest in politics. It also proves that we can't have a logical discussion about the issues. Instead you call H. Clinton a "carpet-muncher" and you can Bush " a drug attic"

You distort everyting. Come on if Move on . org is not a liberal group then I am Santa Clause. If that is what they are fine you are allowed to be liberal but don't lie about it. I will respect you more if you are truthful.

Also face the facts people we are Cincinnati and to have a real Mass Transit System is going to cost alot. The voters decided it was too expensive. That does not make it the Republicans fault or the Dems. It is the people and when the people want it and think they can afford it we will get it.

I challenge some of you(many of you can't handle it) to stop acting like grade school kids on this blog.

I challenge Anon. to return to grade school and learn grammar and spelling !

Additionally, your rhetoric is meaningless. This blog is not here to please your self absorbed ego. It is here to reveal the wRong wing nuts.

If you want to be P.C. and have us all, just, get along then call your friend Rodney King and move to California.

You must be a wRong wing nut if, at the sound of your utterance, you expect conformity !

You obviously don't know schmidt !

No don't worry I am not here for my ego. I am also not here to listen you your garbage about finding out who is on which wrong wing.

You speak with a bunch of crap coming out of your mouth. (Rodney King comment) Wow I have never heard someone use that."Can't we all get along" That is a line that is old school. Is that the best you have?? You are the example of the idiots on this blog.

You like to put words in people mouths also. NO idiot I am not asking for conformity. I am asking for intelligent people(not sure you fit there) to actually talk the issues, make logical arguements instead of name calling, and treat people with respect. You can believe what you want and I repect that. Not asking for conformity at all.

You just seem to want to name call and put people down.

By the way you have no idea what my political view is. All I know is that you are acting like a Jackass!!!
