Is this you?

From today's Washington Post:

In an unscientific Web survey of 36,000 people, Blogads reported that political blog readers tend to be age 41 to 50, male (72 percent), and earn $60,000 to $90,000 per year. Two in five have college degrees, while just a tad less have graduate degrees...

The survey noted that political blog readers tend to read blogs for 10 hours per week, often for "news I can't find elsewhere."

No one takes blogging seriously. Don't refer to them as alternative news outlets. Most blog sites are for frustrated, journalistic wannabes.

Just like Bob McEwen's entire campaign staff.

Wow, Jean Schmidt beat the crap out of Bob on the Cunningham Debate.

Did Bob really start crying after he took that beating?

I'm a 30 year old woman, college grad, stay at home mom.

Bob McEwen is awesome! I can't wait until he's my Congressman again (I lived in his district during the 80s).

Schmidt does well when in front of her media cronies whom she's paid off or offered favors too, and she loves lying, so the words flowed freely. She doesn't have to stop and think about what to say, because she doesn't care if it's true. Bob does much better in front of live audiences, which is why Jean refused to debate him in a public forum, but instead would only do media debates.

That's not me demographically at all -- but I'll admit to the frustrated part. McEwen's not perfect, but I just can't take another term of the lying and conniving of Jean Schmidt. She gives women politicians a bad name. And if she wins tomorrow and loses this seat in November, I'll be even more distraught adn disgusted ....

Female, way past 50, grad degree, income higher, yes - reads blogs 10 hrs/wk or more.
Neither Schmidt or McEwen is worthy of our support. Let's look for a candidate with fresh, problem-solving ideas.
Loved Stephen Colbert's bit at the White House Correspondent's Dinner - awesome!

Thoughtful Billmon essay on Colbert, satire, and the weak-kneed press.
