Gableman get's award for work on The Banks

Attorney Tom Gabelman from the law firm Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, has been given a Distinguished Citizen Award by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners “for outstanding service to his community and his unwavering dedication to The Banks Project.”

Gabelman has worked on The Banks project on behalf of the county since before it was even called "The Banks" and is a member of the Banks Working Group. Before that, he worked on riverfront development issues including the stadium projects. He was presented the award at The Banks groundbreaking ceremony last week.

I have a better thought for members of the Cincinnati media?

Why not do a public records request on HOW MUCH money this guy and his law firm have made from the taxpayers! He's a great lawyer, but to give him an award for billing the county millions seems RIDICULOUS!

What the heck?
The darn thing isn't under construction yet and we are already rewarding people. This thing is going to go on forever!

Understand he's raked in close to $15 million - $15 million! - over the past six or seven years helping the County to keep screwing around with land in the CITY of Cincinnati!

Lol!!!

Was this the guy that missed the rail-road right-of way running through the middle of Paul Brown Stadium ??

Didn't that cause a little time and money???

Get your facts straight Bloggers. He's SAVED the taxpayers of Cincinnati AND Hamilton County 10 TIMES more money than his firm has billed and will ever bill in the future.

AND you'd think after 10+ years the media would learn how to spell his name right.
