Portune to throw first pitch
Hamilton County Commission President Todd Portune is going to throw the ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day.
He's got his work ahead of him to make it as.....um....memorable as last year's first pitch thrown by fellow politician, Mayor Mark Mallory.

This is totally wrong! This is doing nothing but turning opening day into a political statement. Doesn't Tood Portune know that he is loathed by many? This guy would sell his first born to the taliban if it increased his popularity!
I don't think this is a good choice. That has nothing to do with Todd Portune, it's just that with the passing of Joe Nuxhall this winter, a member of his family really ought to be throwing out the first pitch.
Election year campaign ploy for one unopposed.
He couldn't do worse than Mallory
We once had presidents and really famous people throw out the first pitch...now local hacks like Mallory and Portune.
Great idea for First Pitch to be one of Nuxie's family!!! Think about it.
Portune will drop the ball there just like he's dropped the ball in 7 years as Commissioner.
Come on everyone. Give Todd a break. He was asked to throw out the First Pitch on opening day and that's that. At least we know where he will be on opening day.Rumor has it,he was trying to get on the the Endeavour Space Shuttle to see how he can then question NASA and their Budget. Are you kidding me, this guy would not be doing this crap if he wasn't running for re-election. HEY TODD, YOUR BASICALLY UNOPPOSED. WE(TAXPAYERS)ARE GOING TO BE STUCK WITH YOU FOR 4 MORE YEARS.
Had enough!
