Deters vs. Cunningham in judge race

You may remember that Bill Cunningham is making phone calls on behalf of Kathy King.

Meanwhile, Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters is helping out Pat DeWine:

From the DeWine for Judge committee:

As Prosecutor, it's my responsibility to keep your family and our streets safe. That's why I'm supporting Pat DeWine for Judge.

Pat will bring a brilliant legal mind to the bench. His service as a county commissioner has also prepared him to serve the justice system - and the taxpayers - well.

Pat graduated from Miami University with top honors and went on to graduate from one of the nation's most highly-ranked law schools in the top 10% of his class. He served a clerkship for a Ronald Reagan appointee to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and has practiced with one of Cincinnati's leading law firms for the past 12 years. He's well-versed in complex legal areas including mass tort bankruptcies, appellate practice, and constitutional law.

As our county commissioner, Pat served us with distinction on issues of fiscal responsibility, public safety, and open government.

To keep our streets safe we need a judge who'll give criminals sentences they deserve. To keep our judicial system in order, we need a proven, fiscally responsible leader. That's Pat DeWine.

If you're concerned about crime, please join me in supporting Pat DeWine for Judge.

Let's see... Joe Deters supports DeWine as Judge. What a political Ho. How about Smitherman for Clerk? DeWine has no experience and you know it. How far will you go to cover "the deal". Sooner or later it will come out.

Sorry, if I was to take the advice of either Deters or Cunningham, Deters would win BIG time. Cunningham is a buffoon.

In spite of Deters endorsement, I support Pat DeWine because he's proven he'll be independent from the bench. He's one of the few around here from either party who will take them on when they're wrong. We need more judges who won't rule according to partisan preference. Even an endorsement from stooge Deters won't keep me from supporting DeWine.

Anyone who thinks DeWine is not in debt to Deters is kidding themselves. I'd never support a candidate for judge that is endorsed by the County Prosecutor. Think about it. DeWine's endorsement for judge is merely a political payoff. Do you really want to elect candidates based on back room deals? DeWine ran for council in 2003, for county commissioner in 2004, for Congress in 2005 and now he's been offered a "deal" to get out of the county commission so he won't lose yet another seat for the GOP. A loser is a loser, no matter what face Joe Deters tries to paint. DeWine is not a person of good character and everyone who knows him would never deny that. Why would anyone want such a person on the bench? Kathy King undisputedly has far more experience (kathyking2008.org), is a person of high moral character (ask anyone who knows her), and doesn't owe political favors to the County Prosecutor. DeWine fails miserably in all three areas. Vote Kathy King for judge.

They're all republican scum and our city would be much better off without any of these losers.

Pat DeWine has been an ineffective politician his entire life. It must run in the family. It's time to retire the DeWine clan from public office!

I'm voting for Kathy King in the Common Pleas judge race.

It's time to send puh-puh Pat Dewine out to puh-puh-pasture!

Maybe puh-puh-Pat and his dad, the RINO Mike Dewine, can go into business together selling ice cream in suburban Dayton.

Kathy King should get the nod tomorrow in a close one.

Kathy King is a hack who has been purposely hidden in Divorce Court for the past quarter of a century. I'm voting for a candidate who as actually practiced law in the past 25 years.

Way to slip in another low blow. I hope making fun of someone's stuttering problem makes you feel good about yourself. I know picking on people with disabilities always makes me feel like a big person.

As to DeWine being an ineffective politician - He's won 5 out of the last six elections he's run in. How many other pols in this County can lay claim to that?

Cathy King is past retirement age and all she's done is handle divorce cases. Talk about ineffective. We Republicans need to do a better job of picking qualified candidates instead of just picking the party hack who's been around forever.

Kathy King has one of the sharpest legal minds I've ever encountered. Even attorneys who've tangled with her walk away with respect for her intelligence and savvy. For the GOP hierarchy to anoint the comparatively ill-equipped Pat DeWine as their Golden Boy in this race is yet another indication of their lack of respect for the average Hamilton County voter.

In typical "we-know-what's-best-for-you-ignorant-Cincinnatians" tradition, our Republican kingmakers expect the serfs to fall in line and meekly accept their closed-door decisions as to who'll run in what slots.

Guess what, guys? The good old days are dead and gone...thank God!

Regardless of what happens in tomorrow's election, I'm thrilled that Kathy has thrown the elephant dung right back at the self-appointed local Republican "aristocracy" by ignoring the threats and imprecations of these arrogant country club chowderheads. It would be a better world for all of us if more people had Kathy's courage and moxie. If this be treason, make the most of it. Vote for Kathy King!

Probably voting for King based on Deters endorsement of DeWine but honestly, the "puh-puh Pat" post is despicable. Please go back in your hole.

Family Values - Pat Dewine?

Uh...NO! Ever wonder why Dewine doesn't have his family plastered all over his campaign flyers?

It's because Pat Dewine ran out on his wife and kids. Dewine had a sordid extramarital affair with a black woman that broke up his marriage. Dewine is a person of very low character - do not put this scumbag on the bench, Hamilton County voters.

Deters = Political Hack.

ANYTHING to get his name in the headlines (or hear himself talk out-loud).

Believe me. Ignoring him is a good idea, but he keeps popping up like a pesky weed.

So sad...another better-qualified candidate loses to a "politician" who can't hold a steady job......

Sour grapes from a bitter DeWine hater. You lost. 64% of the electorate disagreed with you.

There's plenty of reason to despise Pat Dewine, the puh-puh-perpetual puh-puh-politician.

The Republican party put this hack out to pasture before the voters had a chance to throw the bum out. Dewine's pathetic political career is finally over - just like his daddy's!

Wasn't it Mike DeWine who assaulted an innocent victim in a local restaurant? Is this judicial temperament?
