hold them for months or years without being charges

deprive them of a jury trial
hold secret court hearings
and waterboard the ones who won't talk.
The Repug-driven deficit could be cut down if the waterboarding were broadcast on PPV television.

I applaud your service to our country but we have created a disaster in Iraq. The Sunnis and Shite have been at odds with each other for centuries. Now, not only are they killing each other, they are killing our young men and women and for what? They have no intentions of coming here and fighting us on the streets of New York, Cincinnati or LA.
If we leave Iraq, they will have to work it out themselves. As much as we all hated Saddam, he was the glue that held that country together. (Actually he was one of our 'favorite' little tin-horn dictators back in the 1980's.) Many more Iraqis have been killed in the last five years that we (the U.S.) have been in Iraq than all of the 30 years that Saddam was in power. And on top of that, now there are an additional two million refugees that have fled Iraq for neighboring countries. Because of our egotistical, false idea that we could bring American democracy (what little of it we have left) to a completely different culture. (Ok, honestly it was for oil and American imperial hegemony.)
This has been a disaster and we have no one to blame but the idiots in the Bush administration and PNAC.
Al Qaeda in Iraq make up less than 5% of those fighting against us. And there wasn't such a thing as Al Qaeda in Iraq before we invaded their sovereign country based of lies of WMD and links to Al Qaeda and 9/11 back on March 19th, 2003.

1.) Didja know that back in late May of 2001, Vice President Dick Cheney took the control away from the generals to shoot down any errant aircraft in US airspace? They used ta be able to do that themselves. They now had ta contact Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld directly in order to shoot down any of them planes. And daggonit, on the morning of 9/11 good ol' Rummy went completely missing for a whole half hour during all them hijackins'. Now don't that just beat all?
2.) Didja know that on the morning of 9/11 the US military was runnin' wargames that completely mimicked an attack on NYC and in DC? In fact, they had 5 of them thar wargames going on and most of are aero-planes were drawn away to northern western Canada and Alaska. When them boys play these here wargames they placed 22 false radar blips on the airtraffic controllers screens making them think there were up to 22 planes hijacked?

Let me give ya a good example; didja even think about the fact that NBC, MSNBC and CNBC is owned by GE (General Electric). Welp, GE makes lots of them thar weapons systems, nuclear weapons, electronics, jet engines and so on so do ya really thank they's gonna say anythiang nasty about the government who buys up allin their stuff?
Ever heard of the FCC? Ever notice how we only gots 6 major companies in the world that run it all? And them thar companies is always trying to get in good with the FCC so they's can get better deals to buy up more TV, radio, cable stations and newspapers in this country??? And our FCC is obligin' em and givein' em more and more easier restrictions.
If'n ya don't believe me then ya need to get out to one of them new fangled library things and pickup a few good books and turn off yer TV for a while.
