Do you know this woman?

No, not Hillary Clinton. The woman on the left. She was in the crowd at the Clinton rally at Cincinnati State on Saturday and handed the candidate a flyer from the Barack Obama campaign.

Clinton spent time talking to her and later claimed to reporters that the flyer distorted her views. The Enquirer would like to speak to this woman. Contact Elliot Grossman, assistant local news editor, at 513-768-8600 or egrossman@enquirer.com

Gotta wonder if Hillary talked down to her like she talks down to the rest of the electorate?

She would do better with my vote if she were to have a positive approach rather than trying to correct someone else's words.

She's a just another scold.

I bet that woman was planted by the Clinton campaign. Those mailers have been going out for over 2 weeks and Hillary was even asked about it by George Staphanopoulos.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e18Qa56tMBU&feature=related

"I am honored to be here with Barack Obama. I am absolutely honored." - Hillary Clinton on Feb. 21, 2008 Texas debate.

"Shame on you Barack Obama!" - Hillary Clinton on Feb 23, 2008 after seeing polls showing her Ohio and Texas lead evaporating.

Which Hillary Clinton should we believe? This woman is so inconsistent she makes it EXTREMELY hard for people to give her the benefit of the doubt even if they want to.

Just days after she had a "Moment" that might've revived her dead campaign, she comes out today attacking, screaming, spitting vernom and showing the side of her that gets everyone to tune out. She said "Since when did Democrats attack each other on health care?" That's very dishonest, considering she launched the very first health care attack in this election. Take a look at her mailing attacking Obama's health plan:
http://abcnews.go.com/images/Politics/mailer.pdf

And she launched the very first negative TV ad (in Wisconsin) against a fellow Democrat - on healthcare and debates.

John Edwards who was the first to come out with a health plan, never had a mailer attacking Obama's plan on the basis of not forcing people to buy health insurance.

Just when I was almost starting to like her. What a loser!

The Repugs are so unpopular and so washed out now, they will easily lose another 20-30 seats in the House and 6-8 in the Senate. That's a pretty big hold to climb out of. Also, the Repugnicants have spent over a trillion on the illegal war, so the big-spending argument is out the window.

Plus, we'll still be digging ourselves out of the housing mess from when the Repugs decided to stop regulating mortgage brokers and let the banks rip off millions of Americans.

Then we won't forget how the Repugs effectively shut down any inspection of goods from overseas, allowing the Chinese to posion American kids and pets.

Then we have the Repug members of Congress who made themselves rich and/or used children for their sexual gratification.

Also, when the new administration starts enforcing antitrust and laws against price-fixing, oil and gas prices will magically drop down to where they were the last time the Democrats ran things.

Your tax cuts for the wealthiest one percent expire in 2010, so, yeah, I do think that 99% of us will be better off.

The Repugnicant Party is about finished ruining America. If I were you or any other person who has been associated with a Repugnicant politican in any way, shape, manner, or form, I'd get myself a good lawyer now.

I don't think you or any of the other right-wing, Jesus-freak, relative-shagging defenders of the Gang Of Pedophiles realize just how angry the American people are with you and your ilk.

Correct me if I'm misremembering but didn't Hillary say she would garnish wages if necessary to make poor people pay for their dictated health insurance?
If not, then the only alternative is I (we) are going to foot the bill.
And of course, "it won't require any additional bureaucracy".

Did Hillary Clinton Really Support NAFTA? Aides, Biographers Say No
February 14, 2008 01:13 PM
Read More: 2008 Campaign And NAFTA, Clinton Opposition, Clinton Opposition To NAFTA,

As the 2008 campaign shifts to economically hard-hit states like Ohio, so too do the topics of political debate. This week, Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has attacked Sen. Hillary Clinton on trade, arguing that she was once a supporter of the North American Free Trade Agreement that contributed to the loss hundreds of thousands of American jobs.

"A little more than a year ago," an Obama mailer reads, "Hillary Clinton thought NAFTA was a 'boon' to the economy." The piece goes on to argue that the New York Senator is "changing her tune" now that she's campaigning in the Buckeye State.

The attack is, most observers say, misleading. The "boon" line, a paraphrase lifted from a September 2006 Newsday article, has yet to be confirmed as an authentic quote. But, more importantly, the mailer misrepresents what former Clinton administration officials and biographers say was Hillary Clinton's long-held opposition to the legislation.

"In August in 92, we had to make a decision," Mickey Kantor the former U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Clinton adviser, and free trade advocate recalled for the Huffington Post. "President Clinton had to make a decision as governor, whether or not he would support [George H.W. Bush's] NAFTA, and of course he did... Hillary Clinton was one of the great skeptics in the discussion as to whether he should do. So she was always skeptical beginning in 1992 and onward."

Indeed, as Kantor went on to note, Hillary Clinton long held reservations over the labor and environmental fallouts of the free trade agreement. In addition, she was, at the time, eager to see her health care reform (not NAFTA) pushed through Congress. As such, Clinton biographer Sally Bedell Smith writes in her book "For Love of Politics," her disapproval of the trade agreement was both political and philosophical.

I don't know, but strongly suspect this scene over the Barack flyer was a theatrical production. Clearly for Barack's campaign to object to certain features of her programs or to her past stance on NAFTA (prior to the tight race with Barack) are fair game and nothing to be outraged over. The only campaigning I've seen to be outraged over are the nasty smear campaigns about Barack. The rest of the "negative" campaigning are about policy decisions and philosophy of goverenment.

This picture is pretty self explanatory. Hillary is explaining her theory of wealth redistribution.
Here's how this works. I tax the working people who get out of bed every morning a little more to give to the uneducated, non-productive and lazy. I tax the people who have taken risk, put out immense effort and succeeded (some of you call them wealthy) a whole lot more so I crush the American dream and de-motivate those that dare to have a big house, nice cars and educate their children with their own hard earned money.
Then I rape the businesses; I regulate their profits so I can take that money and provide free everything for those that choose not to educate themselves and sit on their rumps. At this point, I think we are starting to look Socialistic, but I will define it as a "new America". Businesses won't like that America and will move overseas as fast as they can to avoid this redistribution.
Hillary will be coronated by the non-productive and she will be exempt from her system. She will live in luxury (Bill included) because she thinks she deserves to be the queen mother.

If it was a mailer, the flyer would have the woman's name and address on it. Ask the campaign to reveal it.

When is Clinton lying? When her lips are moving.

Not only will Hillary allow the Bush tax cuts to expire.

There is more up her deceptive sleeve.

1. A wealth tax.
2. Tax on the value of your 401k.
3. Imputed income tax.

4. A tax on all estates.

Has Hillary denounced the DLC (Democratic Leadership Council) which is advocates free trade? Her photo shows her to be in a leadership role with the DLC. Go to their website and look under trade issues and you will find policy papers praising free trade.

and to anonymous 10:24 AM: Just because she recently condemned it doesn't mean she didn't back her husband's push for NAFTA at the time.

Here is a video of Meet the Press which states she supports free trade:

Good to see reputable sources of info like the previous Anon post. In the end everyone has to decide on who they believe, or trust to do what they say they will do. The closeness of this race is increasing the "politics as usual", with all the name calling that goes with it. I would like to see both Hillary and Obama stick to the issues, and provide details of their plans to address what is important to voters. See the link to an npr.org article - Separating Fact from Fiction: Obama Campaign Ads - http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=19315153&ft=1&f=10

Unbiased and independent sources are needed other than news media - one possible source is factcheck.org. To paraphrase Factcheck on both Hillary and Obama's mailings ... the mailer criticizing Clinton's position on trade is misleading, but points about her health care plan although distorted, are not that far from the truth. Factcheck also noted that Clinton took Obama's statements out of context falsely quoting his proposals on Social Security, home foreclosures and energy.

Either candidate appears to be qualified in many ways to assume the office of President, it is up to each individual casting a vote to look at what they propose (it's on their web sites), attend their rallies to hear directly from the candidates, look for accurate details and facts and don't fall into the same trap that most Americans fell into 8 years ago.

I attended Hillary's rally yesterday (2/23) at Cincinnati State, and I have contributed financially to Obama's campaign (the Clinton's have $$$). The best candidate should win and if not, then voters will pick the 2nd best.

Ultimately we make the choice for better or worse.

Clinton promoted her husband's trade agenda for years, and friends say that she's a free-trader at heart. ``The simple fact is, nations with free-market systems do better,'' she said in a 1997 speech to the Corporate Council on Africa. ``Look around the globe: Those nations which have lowered trade barriers are prospering more than those that have not.''

Praise for Nafta

At the 1998 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, she praised corporations for mounting ``a very effective business effort in the U.S. on behalf of Nafta.'' She added: ``It is certainly clear that we have not by any means finished the job that has begun.''

Clinton ``is committed to free trade and to the growing role of the international economy,'' said Steven Rattner, a Clinton fundraiser and co-founder of Quadrangle Group LLC, a New York buyout firm. ``She would absolutely do the right thing as president.''

There was little evidence of a protectionist tilt to Clinton's trade views during either her 2000 campaign or first years in the Senate. She stressed issues such as homeland security and children's health care, and wasn't a major voice in trade-policy debates.

As she began to gear up for a White House run, Clinton became less of a free-trade booster and more skeptical about the payoff of globalization.

WASHINGTON - Sen. Barack Obama's refusal to wear an American flag lapel pin along with a photo of him not putting his hand over his heart during the National Anthem led conservatives on Internet and in the media to question his patriotism.

Now Obama's wife, Michelle, has drawn their ire, too, for saying recently that she's really proud of her country for the first time in her adult life.

If the remaining days of her candidacy will be filled with attacks, it's going to be a 10 days until the primary. It might be time for the Clinton campaign to concede there are few differences on the issues with Obama.

One thing remains true for young voters; anyone under the age of 42 has only seen a Clinton or a Bush on the ballot for President in each general election since they were old enough to vote. Perhaps the country is ready for a real change of leadership.

The truth is that Hillary did supported NAFTA. She said it was a bad idea after the fact. Borack Obama was telling the American people nothing but the plain truth. In regards to her health plan she was the one who said that her health plan will be a mandate..when pressed on how she will do that she said by going after wages, garnsh wages. Barack Obama is being straight with the American people. I just dont understand why Hillary continues her lies one after another. She has proven something very disturbing that we Americans have seen in the last couple of weeks. She has been over dramatic and very defensive. Im sorry that is not presidential. I hope we all democrats united and support Borack Obama. In Ohio Nafta was responsible for closing over 50,000 JOBS. HOW can we as decent Americans over look this and vote for Hillary…No way…I have lots of family in OHIO and the last thing I want is for them to loose thier jobs..Shame on you Hillary. She said the samthing about the Iraq war..she voted for it and now she said maybe it was a bas idea, yet she refuses to come clean. Hillary and bill are nothing but scandalous people.

Scientist-- I don't find these as troubling as the racial double standard that is becomming apparent. Barak refused an invitation to the black state of the union in New Orleans. Hillary was there. Neither need to go to get votes because the primary is over there. I guess Barak got the black vote that he needed and now does not need to be seen in NOLA. I am sure he will be back if he gets the nomination. Michelle Princeton thesis stated that she has never been comfortable around white people. Consider for a moment if a just released book for Bill or Hillary stated that they have never been comfortable around black people! campaign over! Honestly it is a racial double standard.

If that is the case, how can Hillary or anyone else hold Barack accoutable for a zealous fan. I have seen and heard some crazy stuff from Hillary supporters, and I don't blame Hillary for it personally. If she actually used this piece of literature from this woman as a talking point doing her speech at Cincinnati State, then I believe that showed poor judgement. Oh PLEASE!!! Speaking as an African American, I dont' think any less of Obama for not going to New Orleans. Tavis Smiley does not speak for the entire African American community in this country. He has his own agenda, and has not done anything but get paid..and down grade any African American who does not see things his way. The Louisiana primary may be over, but there were people from all over the country down there for this event. Hillary may not have been campaigning for the vote of the people of New Orleans, but she sure in the hell was campaigning for the vote of those African Americans who live in states that have not held thier primaries/caucuses yet. She thought because Tony Morrision named Bill the first "African American" president, that she had that demographic locked up. Her campaign is dead in the African American community, so if you think she was down there for anything else than political strategy...think again. If the candidates address the issues of education, healthcare, economy, criminal injustices...then they ARE addressing the State of the Black Union...as Tavis calls HIS event. Obama is battling in Ohio and Texas...thats where he needs to concentrate his efforts. Hillary being there does not sway me one bit into thinking that she cares about the African American community any more than the next candidate.

And for the record. Bill had poor country boy from Arkansas tendicies...not African American ones as Ms. Morrison stated.

If you doubt that the mailer was from Obama's campaign, or that Hillary did not support NAFTA, or that she was wrong to be angry read the FactCheck.org investigation:

From the Huffington Post Feb. 24th Article by David Sirota

According to NBC's Meet the Press, in 2004, Clinton said, "I think, on balance, NAFTA has been good for New York and America."

In her memoir, Clinton trumpeted her husband's "successes on the budget, the Brady bill and NAFTA."

And in 1998, Bloomberg News reports that she praised corporations for mounting "a very effective business effort in the U.S. on behalf of NAFTA." Another direct quote.

I went over two of these three quotes - and some more - in my recent syndicated column, which you can read here. And, as predicted, this issue has now become the central focus in the Ohio primary - the primary that could decide the Democratic nomination.

However you feel about NAFTA - and if you are a typical American, polls show you likely do not like it - Clinton now trying to lie and say she never really supported NAFTA is an absolute insult. It further suggests that on really important economic issues, she's more than happy to lie about provable facts when it suits her political needs.

UPDATE: Here's another direct quote from Hillary Clinton on NAFTA. The Associated Press reported on 3/6/96 that she said, "NAFTA is proving its worth" and later praising NAFTA as "a free and fair trade agreement."

Now these are her own words...Oh I forgot words fon't mean anything...Right? She was ill prepared to be held accountable on this issue, and now she is lying to get out of it. Her campaign severely underestimated Barack Obama. Her arrogance allowed her to believe it would be over on Super Tuesday. Now she is scrambling, and that is not a trait I want in my president.

That is Patricia Burton! She was convicted of burning her bed and breakfast in Loveland to the ground last December before Judge Ringland in Clermont County.
