More on Mark Mallory, Superdelegate

From an AP story today on superdelegates:

The superdelegates make up about a fifth of the overall delegates. As Democratic senators, both Clinton and Obama are superdelegates.

So is Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, which is one reason his phone rings often.

He is a black mayor, and Obama has been winning about 90 percent of black votes. His state has a March 4 primary with 141 delegates at stake. The Democratic governor, Ted Strickland, is stumping hard for Clinton – and perhaps a spot on the national ticket.

A phone call from former President Clinton interrupted Mallory’s dinner on a recent Saturday.

“I continue to get calls from mayors, congresspeople, governors, urging me one way or another,” said Mallory, who is still mulling his decision. “The celebrities will be next. I guess Oprah will call me.”

Mayor Zero being a "super delegate" is enough for me to write off politics forever.

Anyone know what qualification makes him a "super delegate"? Mayor of a semi-big city? Black mayor? Mallory clan?

The black (and other) super delegates who have switched their endorsements (now that Obama is slightly ahead) have lost my respect. If Clinton was winning by a landslide you can bet this would not be happening.

My hat goes off to those who remain committed to Hillary Clinton in the face of adversity.

Thank you for trusting and believing in yourselves and in the heart of your endorsements.

Thank you for raising the bar in the automatic delegates political process and most of all for not bailing out on a friend who has been a long-time champion for the voiceless -especially at a time when it was not popular to do so - then and now.

For me YOU are the real heros in this race.

Mayor Zero is just a trip. Yep, how on earth did this do-nothing, useless public official ever...... Oh yeah, his name is Mallory.

I am with the first poster. As if we needed another reminder, this again shows us the sheer stupidity of politics.

I want either Senator Obama or Senator Clinton to tell us how and when they plan to ask for their Attorney General or a special prosecutor invgestigate the Repugnicant party as a a corrupt organization. If so, do they believe a RICO prosecution is justified, given the illegal war and the ever-growing number of its officials at all levels coast to coast who have been convicted of various fraud and corruption crimes and sex offenses against children.

Dear Democratic Delegates, I was an avid supporter of Howard Dean’s during his presidential bid. I am now an avid supporter of Hillary Clinton’s. For whatever it is worth, I would like to share with you my thoughts about the Democratic Primaries. Barack Obama is a politician who has had a very easy walk into fame so far. I think for our country to overcome the mess of the last eight Bush years, we need Hillary to clean up the mammoth mess he’s made. Also, Obama may be good, but he needs some time to prove that he is so. By his own admission, in his book The Audacity of Hope (which by the way, if all NYT bestseller authors got to stand for President and got elected, we’d be in such a merry mess,) he managed to win his Senate seat because his opponents managed to crucify themselves with personal scandals, not because he was somehow the superior candidate.
Why cut a black man slack, that would be racist in my opinion, treat him like you would a white man, as an equal.. No one seems to be aware of the underlying bias that this election has taken on. It’s okay to bash Hillary Clinton because she’s a white woman but Obama needs kid glove treatment. I think if he became President he would be a huge liability to the party not to mention the country. His campaign is on steroids because he’s being helped in untold dollars with internet support (The Google guys, Facebook folks, etc.) People like to think they are part of a movement, it’s an effortless thing to do, I represent Change and you should believe me and you are absolved of the duty to think.. I think the Party isn’t absolved from its duty to think and weigh the story evenly and with seriousness and due consideration with both candidates’ backgrounds and personalities in mind.
She is so much more in-depth and also a true, blue Democrat, vs. Obama is a Republican in Democrat clothing, he’s using the exact same tactics Rove used (Hillary finally thought to point it out) getting Axelrod to completely distort whatever he knows about the Clintons and to ruin their reputation. I think you folks are committing an eggregious error in not making note of the fact that if Obama continues to discredit Bill Clinton’s legacy, we will have to meet with those same accusations come November.
Think again, vote Hillary…

GENIUS LAWYER "NEW" MATH MEANS THE CLINTON MACHINE JUST KEEPS ON ROLLING
First order of business before post comments:
-I agree with ALL posters who say that Karl Rove is laughing his @** off at the prospect of throwing McCain a shrillary snack pack for general election consumption and the dems are to stupid to see that harsh reality because they are too busy trying to pretend they are not racists

POST IN THE MAIN:
It should have been clear after super tuesday, and certainly by most during the South Carolinian Machiavellian lawyer genius strategy- the clinton’s are bad news and only getting older each primary.
The dems once again show themselves as having fealty for the clinton’s rather than fidelity to the constitution or even reality.
Queen shrillary was pre-ordained and handed everything before the election cycle began…SHE HAS LOST, LOST, LOST…she has NOT consolidated her frontrunner status and in fact has squandered everything. Instead of consolidation and outreach…her crew are now counting superdelegates and big state victories as if vanquishing Obama and winning the dem nomination IS victory.
As always the clinton machine will destroy friends and play soft with the enemy. I believe the Honorable Senator from Illinois will endure…all this talk about his being soft because he is not petty and mean spirited, that he has no substance because he calls upon ALL of us to act upon the better angels of our being rather than upon the demons of divisiveness we are tempted to follow each day…all of it IS a crock.
The dems are daily helping the repubs re-gain what was surely lost at the beginning of the cycle: any chance in hell of holding the executive mansion. Each day the clinton’s continue in their genius lawyer divide and conquer strategy more independents move away from giving the dems a look with open minds and ears…once you burn them it is way harder to appeal to them in the general election. Karl Rove is laughing his @** off since he is ‘pimping’ the clinton’s just as that dude got burned for stating the truth that the clinton’s ARE pimping their daughter for political gain.
you don’t have a hope in hell but you always have a hope in heaven and if the dems want to pull their collective heads out of their collective @**es and finally put their support behind Obama then the repubs will again not have any hope at holding the executive mansion.
Look what the Honorable Senator from the GREAT state of ILLINOIS has done without the support of the heirarchy. Imagine what the dems would look like if they supported his candidacy instead of MacClinton and heil Hillary Lady MacClinton’s.
Question: If Heil Hilary can’t even hold down the lead amongst dems with all that juice how will she fare in the general election after burning all of Barack Obama’s supporters through superdelegate genius lawyer ‘new’ math?!!?
Yah man, it should be over, but it won’t be.
That’s why the clinton’s are poison…everyone under the bus for them, and damn everyone who disagrees.

Analysis: You may require a brokered convention IF THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO CANDIDATES: for instance if no plurality is achieved it may be that say the second and third place candidates can form an alliance and present a united platform that the party can adopt nationally...then they might set the top guy aside since he did not achieve plurality. THAT IS THE REASON YOU HAVE SUPERDELEGATES AND BROKERED CONVENTIONS...WHEN THERE ARE ONLY TWO CANDIDATES, YOU CANNOT MAKE THE CASE that interference IS somehow more expressive OF THE PEOPLE'S WILL will, THAT IS A LIE. WITH TWO CANDIDATES, the one WHO WINS...HAS WON. IT IS ONLY when there are more than two candidates that the triggar for superdelegate influenece and brokered conventions exists and still it is a hesitant hand that will pull that triggar and throw it to the floor...THE PEOPLE'S WILL NOT RESPECTED BY THE DEMOCRAT PARTY?!!? AFTER 2000 & 2004 ?!!? Yeah, Karl Rove IS laughing his @** off at genius lawyer politician 'NEW' superdelegate math.

I personally believe supergelegates should be done away with all together, but I find it really insulting when people say an African American superdelegate is only voting for Obama because of his color. So does that mean all the white superdelegates who vote for Clinton are doing so because she is white? You people act as if 9 million African Americans have gotten him ahead in the primaries. How many black people live in Iowa? Hello...the mindset of this country frightens me sometimes.

EXPERIENCE- YAH OK THEN
WHAT EXPERIENCE DOES SHRILLARY HAVE?!!?
SETTING UP MURDER INCORPORATED?!!?
WACO?

Dumping all over Elian Gonzales' MOM WHO DIED SO HER SON COULD LIVE AND LIVE FREE- all the while teaching children that murdering the HOLY INNOCENT'S through abortion IS A RIGHT?!!?
Adoption clinics just won't do?
I have a question for the democrat who says her favorite scripture IS do unto others- YO let's have a worldwide vote, MRS. DEMOCRAT,(give me the Superdelegates), clinton: EVERY ONE RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED...LOOK IT'S WORLDWIDE...AND UNANIMOUS...DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED SHRILLARY? MRS. DO UNTO OTHERS?!!?...NO ONE BELIEVES THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED...I DON'T EVEN THINK clinton SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED...but if it was one I couldn't stop like the rest-I have to be honest...that IS one that would not have made me that upset
LAWS PASSED AFTER OAKLAHOMA DURING PERIOD EVERYONE ON T.V SAYING IT WAS FOREIGN TERRORISTS DESPITE NCIC PUTTING FED HOLD ON McVEIGH-ON THE DAY!
I) 1996 IIRIR & II) AEDP acts
1996 Amalgamation of the media which set stage for the 'IMAGES' shown on 911
SHRIEKING about RIGHT-WING conspiracies-WHILE NOT putting those DOMESTIC TERRORIST'S who were part of McVeigh's gang under investigation?
Just so they could do the same on 911?
As NY Senator allowing the Mass Murders OF 300+ Firefighters and 3000+ American Civilians AND CARRYING the (black) water for bush & co. who ARE GUILTY OF THIS CRIME?
Yes, THE AWESOME EXPERIENCE OF clinton
Lost IN ALL OF THIS is that JFK HAD exactly the same experience as Obama when he threw his hat in the ring.
IT IS NOT POLITICAL EXPERIENCE WE LOOK FOR IN A PRESIDENT:
IT IS LIFE EXPERIENCE
IT IS EXPERIENCE IN BEING A DECENT HUMAN BEING WHO CARES ABOUT THE POWERLESS
NOT ONE'S WHO RELY UPON THE POWERFUL, AND RELY UPON THEIR OWN POWER
Their IS only ONE true democrat in this race AND IT IS NOT the SELL-OUT clinton's
P.S More of the clinton Experience
Oh we have a bad man in serbia...quick genius lawyer politicians what shall we do? I know let's bomb the hell out of the place and serve him up chaos on a silver platter...how come that didn't go to the good?!!? When the dictator is tried for war criminality does anyone mention the cambodian, pol pot/ kamir rouge causation of him being an even worse man? OH NO...I got something recent for you- how about MacClinton undermining the efforts of State in Khazackistan to help them acquire a nuclear program in exchange for the cash flow while his wifee is accumulating this mad experience you speak of...after all they talk all the time. Finger pointing and unilateral invasion to follow clinton II ordination + one day
They are purposefully bringing harm on the U.S just like bush and for the exact same reason...

Hang the traitors...
Bottom line: both the clinton's and bush see themselves as WORLD LEADERS- no one outside of the States voted for their world leadership...as long as they possess their INTERNATIONALIST views...AND THEY ARE DEFINED BY THEM...
You can kiss their loyalty to this country and to their election promises goodbye once they get into the oval office and get hooked up on that international/ corporation juice
Note: to short memory people:
bush clinton bush got us here...here ain't ANY GOOD
VOTE CHANGE
