Endorsements for Jeffre

UPDATE: Haap adds one more - from Pamela Smitherman, wife of Christopher Smitherman, president of the Cincinnati chapter of the NAACP.

Justin Jeffre's campaign announces that he "quietly collects surprising endorsements."

From who? Here's the list, according to a press release from Jason Haap, aka blogger The Dean of Cincinnati, Jeffre's partner in the Cincinnati Beacon:

"Bill Joiner, a Democratic activist who has been a vocal opponent of Jeff Berding, has endorsed Jeffre. "I have been a loyal Democrat for many years because I believe in traditional Democratic values," explained Joiner. "I recognize that not every Democrat lives up to those values, and there are others who are not Democrats but who, despite their party labels, embrace those Democratic values. I believe Justin Jeffre is one of those persons, and I am happy to endorse his candidacy for City Council."

"Former Democratic mayor of Forest Park and candidate for County Commission, Stephanie Dumas, has endorsed Jeffre, too. "His creativity, energy and willingness to seek innovative solutions makes him an ideal candidate to move Cincinnati forward," said Dumas. "Justin truly has a heart for the people."

Others, Haap says: The Southwest Ohio Green Party; CincyLatino; Democrat Jenny Edwards of the West End; Georgine Getty, executive director of the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless; and Dan LaBotz, former columnist for City Beat and a visiting professor in history at Miami's Hamilton campus.

Jeffre said he is proud to be supported by such hard-working and dedicated people.

Well said Bill !

It is great to see individuals with the vision to recognize the character that Justin Jeffre offers the community !

We'll take Justin, any day, over the endorsed 'fanatical five', PERIOD !

We wish he would have sought the Democratic endorsement, as well !

Democrats are certainly more than a one issue party !

HAD ENOUGH:

VOTE NO: on the 'fanatical five' !

VOTE, for a real, DEMOCRAT and JEFFRE 2007 !

So that's five whole people, including one who doesn't live in Cincinnati (Dumas), and the campaign manager of Dumas's failed County Commission campaign (Edwards)? And people are supposed to be impressed by these folks?

When will anyone learn to look beyond party lines... I find the anonymous "Had Enough?" comments purely despicable in its closed-minded attitude and ideology based exactly on a party line. Use logic and reason and you will find that their are good D's and R's and awful ones too. YOU and your similar counterparts in the Republican party, whom you hypocritically defile (you know... "we hate bad features of others we see in ourselves") are the ones who dishonor the political system you enjoy criticizing.

Had Enough?
Use logic, reason, and get some dignity.

Anyone who hyperventilates about this blog post needs to take a pill or a double scotch. It was good for (and only intended for)laughs. It's funny people!

at 3:27 PM, September 25, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

The only one on that list who counts in Joiner.

Heck, an endorsement from Edwards is just another reason NOT to vote for Jeffre.

at 3:34 PM, September 25, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Are they serious? What a laughable collection of endorsements, ranging from a failed former commission candidate and her manager (who don't even live in Cincinnati!) to fringe persons and groups that nobody has ever heard of. Do the 'Dean' and Jeffre think that endorsements from these people will make any difference to the citizens of Cincinnati?

Jeffre's campaign is such a joke that the cape wearing "Dean Of Cincinnati" is his press agent. That says all you need to know about Jeffre and his vanity campaign.

at 3:42 PM, September 25, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

This is the second biggest joke of a campaign ever (Biggest: Sean Holbrook) and Jason Haap is the biggest joke of a "reporter" ever as well.

On Election Day, when Jeffre gets ten votes, we will know who five of them are.

There are good wRong wingnut whackos, we have buried them !

Why don't you tell Rove, and the state street boy's, there are good individuals of the opposite party and they should retain them in employment ?

Why don't you tell the Gone-dole-ass that there are good individuals of the opposition party and they should not have FIRED them ?

No, you will not because you are the wRong wingnut whacko HYPOCRITE !

Did you, DO YOU SPEAK OUT ? - H%LL, NO !

'Bold Endeavors' did and 'Bold Endeavors' also speaks out against, so called, Democrats as well !

VOTE NO, on the 'fanatical five' !

You have clearly demonstrated whom lacks dignity and is despicably, hypocritically, defile !

Mirror, Mirror on the wall !

Certainly, anonymous is not on the ballot. Wonder why the unwillingness to through that hat in the ring ?

Perhaps, a green party candidate would not place plastic non-recyclables onto the street of our community ?

Jane P - Thanks for posting this item.

Justin, the mention of your name alone is enough make the usual suspects go bananas, so you must be doing something right!

"and other socialists and anarchists"

That doesn't make any sense. Socialists and anarchists are at complete opposite ends of the political spectrum and agree on nothing.

More appropriately, it is "...and more nut jobs and has beens."

Why did Joiner throw his name in with these people?

at 8:00 PM, September 25, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

"You only wish you had one-tenth the credibility of Jenny !"

"Jenny Edwards" and "credibility" have never been used in the same sentence unless separated by the words "has no."

The fringe of the fringe (except Joiner) are who Jeffre is claiming as supporters. What does this say about him and his candidacy?

at 8:37 PM, September 25, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Don't forget he's also endorsed by CincyLatino and Smitherman's Green Party.

"...Anonymous said..."Jenny Edwards" and "credibility"...8:00 PM, September 25, 2007"

Always straight forward and credible with us, even in disagreement !

We think you always know where you stand with Jenny !

Why do we think you have a problem !

Pehaps, too many of your knives have had to be removed from the back !

Why not take your differences to her ?

JEFFRE must be doing something wRite if you need to slam him while claiming no support !

PATHETIC HypocRite !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE for a real DEMOCRAT and JEFFRE 2007 !

at 12:15 PM, September 26, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Next Jeffre is going to be endorsed by Roger Clinton.

Jeffre's endorsement by Cato Kalin is still pending...

Oh, and what good does it do to "quietly" collect endorsements? Shouldn't you be as "loud" as possible?

at 2:42 PM, September 26, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Jeffre is the dude!

Ditto for me!

Neil and Iggy: Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

There is only one Dude, and that is me.

at 4:55 PM, September 26, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

I think what Neil really meant is that Jeffre likes dudes. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
just ask Jason Haap.

"...The Dude said...There is only one Dude, and that is me. 4:53 PM, September 26, 2007"

PATHETIC HypocRites !

HAD ENOUGH, vote for a real DEMOCRAT 2007 and JEFFRE !

Update: Even more irrelevant endorsements. This clown is going down in flames. When Jeffre looses after all of the fuss that Haap & Co. are kicking up over Jeffre's vanity campaign, these bozos aren't going to be able to show their face in this town again. Of course, as they have no dignity, they will keep buggering on wards to their next cause célèbre (or as it appears on the Beacon: The Crisis Of The Year Of The Hour!)

"Lou Loomis said...Update: Even more...endorsements...When Jeffre...campaign...show...they have...dignity, they will...cause célèbre...10:21 PM, September 26, 2007"

The JEFFRE campaign must be doing something wRite as they have the wRong wingnut whacko, 'bird-ling', 'cole-aborators' on the 'cut and run" !

Let's see, the group collected over 45,000 signatures for a ballot initiative !

If JEFFRE were to get 50% of those votes for council, well, that would make him the top vote getter !

No wonder the DINO's are on the 'cut and run' !

Justin is FORMIDABLE !

Fly away little 'bird-ling', cole-aborators !

HAD ENOUGH:

VOTE NO on the 'fanatical five' !

VOTE, for a real, DEMOCRAT 2007 and JEFFRE !

at 12:25 PM, September 27, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Pamela Anderson Lee Smitherman? That seals the deal! I'ma votin' for Jeffre, 'cause awoman "smart" enough to marry Chris Smitherman HAS to know her some politicians!

Yee Haa!

at 1:16 PM, September 27, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

What about his parents? Do Justin's mom & dad endorse him? Any cousins? His hairdresser?

at 1:18 AM, October 01, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Justin Jeffre for Council? Why the heck not? He's a young vibrant activist...and as a fellow activist I say let's give this Green Party candidate a chance! He's well spoken he knows the issues....and so what if he belonged to ninety eight degrees? That was quite a successful band!! Does anyone have a problem with success and talent? Justin Jeffre Nick and Drew Lachey are amongst the nicest well known people I've ever met. Jeffre knows his stuff and my support goes towards proving Mark Twain wrong. Cincinnati is NOT ten years behind the rest of America. Justin Jeffre. Why not?

at 1:11 AM, October 05, 2007 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why not?! Because he's not qualified to be dogcatcher, let alone a city councilman.

Well I guess we now know the name of Justin's hairdresser: it's "John Freie".

Ha ha...very funny blogger 1:11 am. It's easy to insult someone anonymously isn't it? Actually it is kind of funny and I asked for it by signing my own name. No hard feelings..eh? I'll have the last laugh on November 6. Peace, J

Wish list for the remainder of 2007: People who have the balls to insult me to my face? Any takers? I didn't think so

Last night I watched that interview by Matt Lauer with the toe tapping bandit Senator Craig. Did anyone wanna vomit as much as I did? Don't know about you all but I'm on information overload and suffering from serious burnout when it comes to politics and scandal. Just want it to stop for awhile. Let's have a good City Council election and get some good folks in there. My picks? Jeffre, Qualls, Crowley, Cranley, Bortz, Ghiz, Cole, Thomas and Wendell Young. Good luck folks. You're all my friends and I know you'll do some good work while treating all citizens with full equality.
