Turner buys, sells stock

Rep. Mike Turner has been busy working on his portfolio last year.

According to his personal financial report released today, the Centerville Republican - who represents northern Warren County - purchased stock in more than a dozen well-known companies, including several in the oil and gas industry. He also sold some stock.

What he bought: Bed, Bath & Beyond; Best Buy; Citigroup; Caterpillar; Colgate-Palmolive; Coach; Cisco; Disney; Goldman Sachs; 3M Worldwide; Motorola; Occidental Petroleum; Ingersoll Rand; Paychex; Schlumberger; Stryker; U.S. Bancorp; Chevron; Hewlett-Packard.

What he sold: Sysco; CVS pharmacy; Dell; Medtronic.

Some day our annoying, bold-type blogger will be able to afford stocks too! Or maybe not.

I figured the BOLD FACED guy would come on here with his garbage. Buying and selling stock is everyones right in this country. Millions do it. I guess only republicans are bad who buy and sell stock.

Turner bought and sold stocks.

If he were a Democrat, it would be a non-story. Since he is a Republican, however, this just proves he is guilty of using his position of public trust to make millions for himself. We will immediately investigate every other major shareholder of these companies, and see if they, their families, their in-laws, their fifth cousins, and anyone they've ever shared a cab with has some interest ina piece of legislation that the Corrupt, Evil Republican Mike Turner may have sponsored, co-sponsored, voted for, voted on an amendment to, or overheard being discussed in the cloakroom.

If any connection is made, Turner will be found GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY, first in the court of public opinion, and second by a U.S. attorney so desperate to make it look like he or she isn't being partisan.

Meanwhile, William Jefferson walks free with his $90,000 stash in his freezer, Ted Strickland can talk to all the hate groups he wants to, Dianne Feinstein hangs onto the billions she has helped her husband get, Nancy Pelosi continues to bend the rules to favor large employers in her district, and the news media repeats endlessly the "Republican Culture of Corruption" mantra.
