Winburn: 50% fewer people shot, I promise

On his new Web site, City Council candidate Charlie Winburn says crime was at a 20-year when he was in office last and that it skyrocketed when he left. He was on council from 1993-2001 and was chairman of the Law & Public Safety Committee for some of that time.

If re-elected in November, he promises to - within two years - reduce the number of calls for shots fired and for people shot by half. He says he's uniquely qualified to do this.

He writes this campaign letter "with much angst" about rising crime and signs it, "Fondly, Charlie."

Check out his crime ideas here

And if one vote-for-me Web site wasn't enough, here's # 2

Winburn is heard in the black community, not in the white community.

This is the first time we heard from Charlie Winburn, but, it is certainly not the first time we have heard from mr. Winburn!

Why is that ?

Community pride begins at City Hall!

Perhaps, there is some house cleaning to do ?

Don't be offended by terms utilized within Mr. Winburn's agenda!

What are we getting all "jacked-up" about a new Council member?

"RESPECT" begins at City hall!

Should we follow the principle:

Do as I say, not as I do ?

lol, lol, lol

PATHETIC !

The first robocall of the 2007 election season was sent out by Winburn. I received the call Saturday. It's much too early for council campaigning. Besides, I'm not the least interested in Winburn back on council.

The wRong wingnut whacko html stalker strikes again !

Obsessive follower !

lol, lol, lol

The headline should read:

wRong wingnut mafia assures citizens that they will reduce the street enforcement as they attempt to gain council seats and regain local drug trade !

In the last 30 years, why have we never heard about a major white collar drug bust of the money backers in our community ?

Oh, but, they can bust the black men who came from out of state attempting to squeeze into county drug trade !

Why is that ?

"Culture of Corruption" ?

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

His nine-point plan is hilarious. It's three points, re-described and re-packaged 9 different ways.

NVI,

I got my first robo-call, too, from the Winburn campaign. However, it was a month ago, and I live 5 miles from any part of the city. So I couldn't vote for him if I wanted to (which I don't).

Our surgically neutered bold typist seems to be frustrated all the time. Being neutered may be the cause.

Winburn is a nut, pure and simple. I'm glad the Republicans can claim him.
