Hang another "L" in the Wulsin column

Victoria Wulsin can't win for losing.

In 2005, she went for the vacant job of Cincinnati Health Director and lost out to Noble A-W Maseru.

Last year, she ran a spirited and uphill battle for the 2nd Congressional District seat and lost to incumbent Republican Jean Schmidt.

Now, despite some enthusiastic recommendations from area Democrat officials, she's come up short in her quest to for a spot in the cabinet of governor-elect Ted Strickland.

Wulsin - a physician who runs a non-profit AIDS prevention organization in Cincinnati, interviewed for the job of director of the Ohio Department of Health. But, Thursday, Strickland's office announced the appointment of a Fremont doctor, Alvin Jackson, to the job.

Wulsin said she was disappointed, but still hopeful of going to work for Strickland in some significant job.

Perhaps Strickland's campaign took into account that Dr. Wulsin has a pending complaint filed against her Ohio medical license by the Boston-area National Council Against Health Fraud for her participation in the Heimlich Insitute's illegal human experiments in Africa as well as false advertising in her campaign commercials.

I doubt it, since everyone knows by now that Wulsin's phantom malfeasance is a by-product of the Dean's implacable anti-Heimlich paranoia rather than an actual substantive issue.

More to the point, this post reminded me of another midwesterner who had an "L" on his forehead for much longer than Wulsin:

1832 - Lost his job
1832 - Defeated in legislature
1833 - Failed in personal business
1834 - Elected to legislature
1836 - Had a nervous breakdown
1839 - Defeated for Speaker of the House
1843 - Defeated for nomination for Congress
1846 - Elected to Congress
1848 - Lost re-nomination
1849 - Rejected for land officer position
1854 - Defeated for Senate
1856 - Defeated for nomination for Vice President
1858 - Defeated for Senate...again
1860 - Elected President of US

Once the Repugnicants start getting indicted, something will open up for a dedicated selfless public servant such as she.

What does the Dean have to do with the complaint against Wulsin's license except that his blog posted the story? The complaint against Wulsin's license was filed by the National Council Against Health Fraud. They're a nationally-recognized anti-quack organization based in the Boston area.

Anon (commenter #4):

Thanks for that comment. Individuals like Westender have a narrow view of the world, and trouble understanding that I do not control the actions of activists in Boston. Westender is a radical conspiracy-theorist, thinking that I have taken an "anti-Heimlich paranoia" to some kind of national level whereby I compel national organizations to do my bidding.

Ha! I don't even wish I was that powerful!

If it comes out that some other nations have discredited the Heimlich Maneuver for choking victims entirely, opting instead for chest thrusts, then clearly that would be my anti-Heimlich paranoia working internationally.

I am the most influential blogger on Earth!

...I am the most influential blogger on Earth!...

The pathetic dean needs a time out.

A little space of his own.

Perhaps a sock-puppet blog of his own or something like hindlick did when he confined weeee-knee dean-ie to his own little designated area !

lol, lol, lol

Now, that's real power.

The, wet behind the ears, dean is "green", period !

Rick- whose name rhymes with two things you clearly are- Dr. Wulsin runs a nonprofit in Africa for children with AIDs and also practices medicine at a local clinic and delivers patient care- are those "real" enough jobs for you?

Oh, and based on your profile Rick, not surprising you wouldn't like Vic since you describe yourself as Catholic and conservative-
and exactly what do you do in healthcare- custodian in a hospital? If you were a healthcare professional you might appreciate Wulsin's credentials.

Howard, it would be hard to calculate how many "Ls" would be listed in the Wilkinson column- demoted from the political beat for several years, loss of any journalistic ability or integrity you ever had, loss of whatever decent appearance you ever possessed, and the list goes on and on.

11:44: Dr. Wulsin...practices medicine at a local clinic and delivers patient care

That's news to me. Which clinic?

Wulsin needs to practice medicine before she can legislate at the Department of Health of Ohio. Its like having a minor league baseball player become the commissioner of baseball.

Howard - isn't that photo of Dr. Wulsin the same one that was used by the Scmidt campaign in their vicious mmailings before the election?
Do you just save the more unflattering photos for people you
don't support?
Or did you miss the ones of Dr. Wulsin in campaign events that were covered by your own newspaper?
Your bias is showing.

11:44, We're still waiting for an answer to 4:16's question. You claimed that Vic Wulsin practices medicine at a local clinic and delivers patient care.

What's the name of that clinic?

...What's the name of that clinic?...

Would someone please send wheeee-kneeee dean-ie back to his designated area in that little bloggett !

PATHETIC !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2007 !

And what is the name of that clinic??

What is the name of that clinic? When was the last time that the Dr.?(unsure of her last name, Wells? Wulson?, Vic?)practiced medicine on live patients? She was a joke from the start.
