Get me a latte and a Howard Dean quote, please

The head of the national Democratic party was in town yesterday, as you may have read in today's Enquirer.

But did you know the story behind the story? Read it on Gregory Korte's blog.

Dear Doctor Dean,

You are right about one thing; Jean Schmidt will probably have a serious challenger in both her primary and general elections for as long as she holds office.

Personally, I haven't decided if I will run again in the 2008 and/or 2010 Democratic primary, but if I do I am going to knock on 15,000 Democrats doors before the primary and 25,000 Republicans doors before the general. Howard Dean, if you are looking to Cincinnati for the type of candidate who can win the Ohio 2nd, I only have one question. How successful have you been during the last 40 years with that strategy? I believe that you were in Junior High School the last time a Democratic candidate won a Congressional race in the Ohio 2nd.

Like I said, I honestly have not decided if I will run again in 2008 and/or 2010. But I can certainly say one thing... If you truly want to win this district, you have to try a different strategy and you have to look in a different direction for your candidates. This election has absolutely NOTHING to do with Jean Schmidt and it has EVERYTHING to do with the people of Southern Ohio.

But since I am not currently running for anything, I've really had the opportunity to meet lots of people in our incredible 7 county district here in Southern Ohio. The future of the people of Southern Ohio is my passion and I will never fail them.

Oh, and Jean Schmidt, if you are reading this... How are things going in Washington these days? I've been waiting to see some miraculaous legislative accomplishment come from your office. Surprise us with something. It's your job to make this country better, not show up for work and do nothing.

Jim Parker, MHA/MBA
Former Democratic Candidate for US Congress
Southern Ohio - 2nd District - 2005 & 2006...

Jim Parker, I've heard you speak. No matter what the political wannabe's say. Do not ever give up your fight for the people of Southern Ohio.

Jim Parker, you are the perfect candidate for the 2nd District. You've got my vote.

I think that the Democratic Party and Howard Dean should pay attention to candidates like Parker. They's have alot more Democratic Congressmen. Instead, wee have Jean Schmidt.
