Wulsin: No concession. Count every vote.

Eileen Kelley reports:

As it approached midnight, Victoria Wulsin remained not only optimistic, but thrilled to have pulled as many votes as she had.

“It’s really amazing to be this close in a race that nobody thought would be this close. This is phenomenal,” said Wulsin.

“This race is still too close to call. We’re going to have to count every provisional ballot.”

When Wulsin called out into the crowd to find out how long it may take to finalize the vote count, she was told days.

”Days? Oh well party on,” she said.

She also took the time to remind her supporters of the victories the Democratic party had made throughout the area and nation.

“I think all of us are felling better then good tonight,” she said. “Win or lose, we are going to have a great celebration because we have all come together. This makes me so proud and so eager to be your next congress woman.”

Congrats Dr. Wulsin! You're rhetoric is refreshing. You ran a great race and gave this district lots to think about. We're proud of you.

Way to go, Vic!

Right now 12:32pm it's looking like about a half percent difference with provisionals and overseas absentees yet to be counted. We may even be in an automatic recount scenario.

(and at the moment we won't say anything about the Warren County ballots they're apparently remaking)

I did some canvassing for Vic today and I couldn't believe how many Republicans I encountered who voted for Wulsin.

Never concede Vic, make sure they count every vote!

This may be the only chance we have to dump Toxic Mean Jean Schmidt!

Meanwhile, Schmidt has arrogantly declared an unqualified victory. I sincerely hope Wulsin eventually wins, so I can watch Schmidt squirm like the low-down snake she is.

Also, because Wulsin is obviously a much more classy, upbeat individual, much better qualified to represent us in Washington.

But I do want to watch Schmidt squirm. I can't wait to see what a piss-poor loser she'll make.

I just wish both of these canidates would go away. Jean has been a joke of a representative who has gotten nothing done but create her own little kingdom in Clermont County. What a joke wake up Clermont you have a political machine being run by Schmidt family and supporters. And Wulsin. Go back to being a doctor(or should we say pretending to be a doctor) What a joke in your ads acting like you were treating patients. Go infect somemore Aids patients with Malaria.

You all have had chances to put real canidates in these positons. Canidates who could have represented our district and gotten something done.

I wish they would both lose!!!!!!

Whether Vic Wulsin wins the vote tally or not, she has won a major battle. Having never run for public office and with little national support until almost too late, Wulsin ran a positive, issues-driven campaign. She was not just an alternative to an embarrassing representative, but a potentially amazing representative in her own right. I'm sorry to read anyone insulting Vic for her "supposed" skills as a doctor. This person could not possibly be familiar with what she has actually accomplished in her life. A PhD and a Medical Dr. who has practiced in dozens of countries around the world is admirable and honorable.
