Second time's a charm for Chabot

While Rep. Steve Chabot was voting, Charlie Dezarn of Westwood stopped and said hello at the First Presbyterian Church in Westwood. Chabot had to go home and get a proper I.D. after pollworkers turned him away. Post your comment and read Howard Wilkinson's blog entry.

To the above poster: Get a grip!

Chabot had a drivers liscence with a different address on him. He had plenty of ID, just not one with his current address.

Oh, by the way, I was in the same position this morning because I had recently moved one block. I never once thought I was "above the law." Geez people.

Alicia, did Steve once complain that he had to go home? He didn't pull out the Congressman card and cry about being turned away. If you had read any further than the headline you would have seen his comments...

“I guess I’ll see if I can find a utility bill,” Chabot said. “That’s the law. You have to have proper ID.”

"I guess this just shows the poll workers are really doing their job."

Voting Twice Will NOT Bring Chabot to Victory.

Time to Mow the Lawn.

If John Cranley had been in the same situation he would have thrown a temper tantrum just like he's done at every bingo hall he's been kicked out of.
Chabot is respectful and followed the law.
