Memo for next election: Valet parking
Finding a parking space was harder -- and took more time than voting -- at Batavia High School, in Clermont County. At 7:40 a.m.. about three dozen voters had filled in their ballots, a poll worker said at the high school gym -- which was a new location for voters.
I was dismayed that an elections ballot -- for one party -- handed out outside the school had been left behind in my booth. Why don't poll workers require voters to throw away the voting pamphlets that are handed out before you walk into to vote?

It wasn't quite valet parking, but when I arrived at Knox Presbyterian Church in Hyde Park to vote this morning, I found that most of the parking meters had been well fed. I don't know who was responsible, but it was nice not to have to worry about feeding the meter after searching for a parking spot.
You go girl. Ever thought about walking? Isn't that why you moved to Hyde Park so you can walk to all of the places that you will never walk to? Grab a cig and go to Hap's.
