2 Hamilton County levies up, jail losing
With just absentee ballots in, Hamilton County voters are approving two levies -- for Children's Services and health care for the poor. Each is winning early, with about 65 percent of the votes.
Issue 12, though, is losing. The issue, seeking to raise the Hamilton County sales tax by a quarter-cent to pay for a $230 million jail and $30 million property tax rollback is losing, 56.3-43.7.

The people in who wrote this bill didn't do a lot of thinking. I don't want the jail in my backyard. If they would have told me where the jail was going to be and it wasn't in my backyard, they would have had my vote.
