Why don’t you ask Jean who Victoria Wulsin is? You really should focus more on your candidate. Perhaps you can assist with her lack of funds and support in the 2nd district.

well, unless vics funds can buy her another 8-10 percentage points in the polls, i suggest you get off your big butt and go knock on some doors. maybe you can ask the witch doctor if you can borrow some of her funds and start bribing people for votes.

I bet Vic is going to explain to everyone how to run a government the Blue Blood - Indian Hill Way.... I wonder if Vic has ever worried about her next meal. I think everyone knows that anwser.

Wulsin is from East Cleveland and her father was a minister, her mother a social worker. She is HARDLY a blue blood. She was able to go to Harvard because she worked her butt off not because anybody EVER gave her anything.

Jean Schmidt is the millionaire in this race, not Wulsin.

Don't worry, Nick "Phone Boy" Owen...

Soon, you'll have all day to post comments on the blogs, spam other people with anonymous emails, and generally act like a jerk.

Because you will no longer be required to drive around our wrinkly Congresswoman when she loses 19 days from now.

As for your reliance on the latest SurveyUSA poll, cling to it with all you've got. I seem to remember SurveyUSA predicting a blowout in the primary of 26 points.

They were only off by TWENTY, so that's not too bad.

Give a hug and kiss to Jennifer Black for me.

Sincerely,

Ed Haynes
Dean of Students
University of Cincinnati

P.S. Maybe when Jean loses, she can come back and finish those last 40 hours of school and earn the college degree she's been claiming for the past 17 years. Too bad we don't accept plagiarized work.

Ed Haynes, Congresswoman Jean Schmidt is not "wrinkly." If you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that. She IS a slender, tough marathon machine who runs several 26.2-mile contests/year. She also has had to run in a lot of elections lately; her victory on Nov 7 will be her fourth election triumph in the past 17 months.

Jeepers, I didn't know that Finney's Fanatics (AKA COAST) had a brownshirt chapter on UC's campus. Or are you merely a sarcastic member of the Jackass Party, frustrated because you can't seem to defeat Congresswoman Jean Schmidt. If so, your lack of electoral success against her gives you and Finney's Fanatics (AKA COAST) something else in common besides just your sarcasm.

Here is my take on this race:

Jean Schmidt is so worried about Vic Wulsin that all I ever get in the mail is literature, NOT supporting Jean Schmidt, but rather, propaganda against her opponent.

Vic Wulsin is really concerned about the voters of the 2nd district and their issues: Jobs, real jobs, healthcare, elderly issues (dumb Medicare Part D) and the economy.

Vic, keep plugging the reality of the voters needs and you win. Jean just wants to lookout for her own behind, not the voters.

Anonymous at 5:14pm, 10/19, I can tell you a few people that Victoria Wulsin isn't "concerned about" in the Second District. She isn't concerned for the developing human beings who still reside in their mothers' wombs and who will be torn asunder and killed at an abortuary. She isn't concerned about reducing the taxes on my middle-class family--and middle class does NOT include household incomes up to and above $100,000 or more. She isn't concerned about the sacrifices our military men and women have made in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere as they defend us against the Islamic Jihadist thugs and murderers who would LOVE to see a Democrat-controlled Congress that would pull the funding for our war efforts and orchestrate a retreat and defeat policy. She isn't concerned about the effects of unlimited illegal immigration on Social Security, on our medical infrastructure, on our police and fire capabilities, on the securing of our borders against terrorist infiltration. She isn't concerned about preserving traditional families which are trying to rear their children to understand the value of human life and the importance of moral absolutes in the determination of personal conduct and values. She isn't concerned about allowing parents freedom of school choice for their children. No, Victoria Wulsin isn't concerned about these Second District folks, and that's largely why she will never get the opportunity to represent (or mis-represent) this district in Congress. Count on it.

TNP,
I once thought you were a Schmidt staffer. Now I think that you are just sexually attracted to her. Must be awkward for you. If you want a chance with the Congresswoman you'll have to get in line behind phone boy, Eric Kephas, Kevin Welch and Jean's new campaign chief.

Who brings in a new campaign chief days before the election? A down candidate, that's who. Was Jean was sinking during the last race she almost fired Freeman. She is so predictable it's funny. She is down and sinking fast, no matter what Survey USA says. (Survey USA is the worst polling $ can buy)

at 12:17 PM, October 20, 2006 Anonymous Anonymous said...

TNP writes that Vic is not concerned for the “developing human beings” … that cannot be a more mis-calculated statement. DR. VICTORIA WULSIN, is a doctor … just in case you missed that point, and she took an oath when she became a doctor to protect all lives to the best of her abilities. More importantly, the Supreme Court has ruled, several times I might add, that the abortions rights are the settled at the state level, not the national level. People really need to understand the rulings of what Roe v. Wade and Casey v. Pennsylvania. Schmidt and Wulsin are running for Congress, not a state office, so my point is, this argument does not apply to them, go ask it in the Newby/Uecker race.

Taxes, wow, what a can of worms you just opened. Jean Schmidt and our “lying” President have done nothing but give HUGE tax breaks to those in the top 5%, not the middle class. I consider myself in the middle class … my family earns less than $100,000 per year, but over $50,000. My taxes have not been reduced, I looked at my returns for the past 3 years … In fact, my taxes have gone UP. My income increased by 4%, thanks to my good review at work, not George Bush. According to my tax records, my tax burden went up $500 for the year; this is the amount the government said I should have paid. My taxes withheld from my check went down only $200, that is a difference of $300 in the governments favor, not mine. I’m still waiting for my tax cut … people reading this blog, take a look at your taxes over the past 2-3 years, which way have your taxes gone? So if Vic wants to raise the taxes on the top 5%, I say “You go Girl”.

You say, Vic doesn’t care about our soldiers … how much further from the truth can you be. Our government is giving away our military to CIVILIANS. Our government now outsourced over 40% of our military spending last year alone. These are called NO BID contracts to companies such as: Haliburton (Cheney former CEO), KBR, CACI, TITAN, etc. In the meantime, CIVILIANS are dying at the hands of our government in Iraq and their lack of concern or compassion. Good Friday 2004 a convoy of CIVILIAN driven vehicles were to deliver fuel to other military positions in Iraq near the Abu Grhaib prison. The day before, military intelligence warned that the same roads these CIVILIANS were to drive on had a very high likelihood of being attacked and subsequently labeled RED. No warning went to these CIVILIANS … WHY? … because our military is being outsourced. Was there ever an investigation on why these CIVILIANS were not warned … or better yet … told not to drive those roads? NEVER! People like these are being killed way too often and we never hear about it … who remembers this story? How about the prison scandal at Abu Grhaib? We had two military personnel court-martialed for their participation … and rightfully so, they deserved their punishment. Well how about the CIVILIANS that were involved, again … this was never reported, they were never investigated and will never stand trial for their parts in this atrocious affair. Why because our government doesn’t have oversight on these NO BID contracts or the people who are employed by these companies.

I could go on and on about the abuses our REPUBLICAN controlled government continues to make, including the raping of our Constitution. Now Habeas Corpus doesn’t even exist anymore, thanks to the Torture Bill just passed. Imagine if the government had the ability to come and take your spouse right from your home, WITHOUT A WARRANT, and then hold them in a prison, who knows where, hold them indefinitely, torture them to the point of “near physical or mental abilities”. Oh wait, they can do this, our lovely REPUBLICAN controlled Congress just passed this bill that the President whined about. Just wait, it will happen, it is guaranteed. And you say Vic Wulsin doesn’t care about the people of the 2nd district … I say Jean Schmidt doesn’t care … more importantly, she now has a proven track record of not caring for the past 18 months. It is time for a change. TNP if you need proof of these claims, just watch “Iraq for Sale”.

I-71 Commuter, your response to my comment is exactly what I would expect from a card-carrying member of the Jackass Party--if you don't have anything of substance to say, indulge freely in ad hominem BS. But then you Dems seem hung up on sex (viz., Barney Frank, Bill Clinton, Gerry Studds, Gary Hart, Ted Strickland, etc.), so you added that sick twist to your excretion. On Nov 7 after Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has defeated Victoria Wulsin and won her fourth election victory in the past 17 months, I urge you not to drink and drive. You might kill someone.

at 12:45 AM, October 21, 2006 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Anonymous at 12:17pm, 10/20, Roe v. Wade took the abortion issue AWAY from the states and made it a national prohibition. When that destructive, immoral decision is reversed, then and only then will the states be permitted to decide for themselves what to do about the horror of killing developing human beings who still reside in their mothers' wombs. And since Congresswoman Jean Schmidt and Victoria Wulsin are running for national office, it's totally appropriate to point out that every time Dr. Wulsin advocates, permits, allows, winks at, encourages or doesn't do all within her power to prevent the killing of unborn human beings, she is in violation of the Hippocratic Oath she swore to uphold and obey. That violation of her oath is a reflection of her willingness to cave in to this culture of death, and from my perspective and from the perspective of every individual who recognizes and honors the sanctity of human life she...has...no...business...being
...in...Congress!

Surely you are not so naive as to think that Victoria Wulsin and the rest of the Democrat establishment would raise taxes only on the top 5% of income earners. I've already told the readers of the tax relief received by my son and son-in-law, both of whom are solidly middle middle-class. If you're paying more in taxes, and you're middle class, you should invest in the services of a CPA. Pros like CPA's and tax attorneys are sometimes required for ordinary citizens to get the best results when confronting this crazy, expensive, counter-productive tax system we have. Democrats raise taxes. That's what they do. Rangel has already stated clearly that if he gets to become chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, he's gonna blow ALL the tax cuts into smithereens. That means tax increases, pure and simple. Your gal, Victoria, would vote FOR that stupid step. Congresswoman Jean Schmidt WOULD NOT. Count on it.

Our President is NOT a liar. You can say it till you're blue in the face, and it doesn't make it true.
ALL our military and All the civilian workers in Iraq are there VOLUNTARILY. The work that both our military folks and our civilian workers have done and are doing is awesome. But the job is far from over, and perhaps worse times are coming. If the Dems wind up after Nov 7 in a position to pull the fiscal plug on our involvement in Iraq, all the military and civilian deaths so far will have been in vain. WE ARE AT WAR! I'm a war veteran, and I've seen up close and personal that wars are wasteful, dirty, ugly, awful, expensive and filled with tragedy and sorrow. But there are things in life that are much, much worse, such as permanently losing our freedom or facing the deaths of more of our citizens in our homeland. So we fight the Islamic Jihadists IN THEIR HOMELANDS, not in ours. And we must win, with you or without you, for the sake of my family and, quite frankly, yours, too.

Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has an excellent track record in her first months in the House. It is NOT time for a change in the Second District seat. I remind you: we are at war. Lincoln actually SUSPENDED Habeas Corpus during the Civil War, and we must be willing to do whatever the heck is necessary to protect our nation and our people. If you Bush-haters have your way, we'll all wake up some dreadful morning and find that one or two of our cities or our ports are pools of radioactive glass. If we're dead, dude, we don't have ANY rights. We can recover our Constitutional freedoms in full once the danger to our nation is eliminated. Right now, our security trumps our rights. Perhaps you are willing to risk your family in order to provide full legal rights to terrorist prisoners and freedom for the terrorist thugs and murderers from interrogation, but I'm not. My family is more important to me than that. If you'll just stop to think about it instead of spouting leftist drivel, you'll understand.

We will never agree. That's why you and your candidate must be defeated on Nov 7. I'm doing my best every day to see that it happens.

TNP,

I love it how you try to ignore the charge regarding Schmidt's lack of a college degree.

It's a classic Schmidt tactic, trying to blame the Whistleblower Newswire for making up the story when in fact she was CONVICTED of lying about it:

http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060428/NEWS01/604280402/1077

Worse, she LIED again on WLWT the next day:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAyuifbJ2l4

I'm curious as to how you defend the allegation in the video.

My guess is that you won't even respond, and if you do, it'll be with MORE LIES proving that you're really a government employee blogging on taxpayer time in a desperate attempt to sway the election and keep your job.

Hey Missing, I love it how you card-carrying members of the Jackass Party persist in majoring in minors, playing the same discredited and explained and totally yesterday's news over and over and over again ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Come back when you have something of substance to complain about. Meanwhile, take a long walk off a short pier.

I know for a fact that the majority of the entries criticizing Jean on this blog are from Republicans. Face it, Jean is not popular with Republicans and she is hated by democrats and independents. 52% of republicans voted against her in the May primary. She is ripe for a fall. The only way she will beat Wulsin is if she writes her campaign another fat check from her bloated savings account.

Here is a fresh subject for you. Do you know how much Jean pays in property taxes on the hundreds of Clermont acres she owns? Pennies per acre. Jean and Tim Rudd have infected that county and are running it like a 1910's political machine. They disguise the central committee meeting times from opposition inside the party and only elect Jean's cronies. Nick Owens was running for central committee last I saw. How many of Jean's employees are on the Clermont central committee? The county is rife with corruption and cronyism and Jean is at the heart of it all. I don't even need to go into past voting discrepancies. (When Jean lost to Tom Niehaus, the Clermont BOE came up with over a thousand ballots that had previously been lost. They pushed Jean within a few hundred votes of winning.)

Hey ask Jean sometime why she was pulled over going south on I-71 one evening in 2004. See what she tells you and then ask if you can trust someone like that with your vote.

Anonymous at 3:31pm, 10/22, what happened to "Missing?"

You seem to know a whole lot about Congresswoman Jean Schmidt from an insider's perspective. Makes me wonder how you are privy to the info you claim to have. Also makes me doubt your innuendoes.

Congresswoman Jean Schmidt lost to Tom Niehaus by 22 votes out of 35,000 votes cast. How in the hell is that any kind of a cod-locked political machine in operation? Your observation on the race against Niehaus makes me wonder if you know anything at all other than what you and I both read in the papers.

So far, every single charge, accusation, innuendo, suspicion and lowdown claim against Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has proven to be either wrong or specious or trivial or just plain whacko. No one, least of all me, has any reason to believe your latest rumblings from the disloyal opposition's camp.
Congresswoman Jean Schmidt does, indeed, have some Republican antagonists, largely, as far as I can tell, from the corners of the Second District lodging those she has beaten in the two Republican primaries she's been forced to run in. Also radiating an almost unbridled hatred of Congresswoman Jean Schmidt are Finney's Fanatics (AKA COAST, the brainchild of Christopher Finney and Tom Brinkman), a few in the ATRC and a very few in Clermont County who had allegiances to Bob McEwen. I have found no credible reason for this opposition, no substantive basis for the hatred, and unless or until I do, Congresswoman Jean Schmidt has my unqualified support. She's right smack on the button on the issues that mean the most to me. And she will beat pro-abortion Wulsin on Nov 7, with or without another infusion of capital.
