Snow stymied by Brent Spence Bridge
From Howard Wilkinson, reporting from Downtown Cincinnati:
Rep. Jean Schmidt’s noon-time fundraising event at the Millenum Hotel got off to a slow start when her featured guest, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, got stuck in traffic on the Cut-in-the-Hill while coming from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Schmidt jumped up on the podium, grabbed the microphone and told her guests (who were enjoying their salads) that Snow would be here shortly.
“This just shows how important it is to get the Brent Spence Bridge project done,” Schmidt said.
...
Snow just arrived.

Just think, if we had John Cranley in Congress, the bridge would have been built. Cranley has a record of getting things done for Cincinnati. Chabothead has a record of doing whatever Chimpy McBushitler tells him to do.
Guess Chimpy doesn't need the bridge so he won't call Chabothead about that.
Anon 1:22. Name one thing that John Cranley has done to help the citizens of Cincinnati, things he has really spearheaded that actually matter for the city.
p.s. You want to call someone Chimpy go after Schmidt or Boehner, Chabot has the lowest support of Bush in the State. Cranley's ads are desperate. Also check out the big Transportation bill that was passed last summer, you might find a certain bridge in a certain area of town has some funding in there.
Notice to all Repugnicants reading this blog when you should be working - I see from Anon 1:32 the Repugnicants are eating their own. Your boy Chabot finally faces a credible challenge, and you throw your buddies Schmidthead and Teflon John under the bus in a heartbeat.
People are finaly wising up to the Repugnicants. Chabothead and Hind-lick are going down. So is Taftwell and DeWhiner. And their staffs will be on the unemployment line looking for food stamps.
Too bad the Repugnicants cut those programs to pay off Tom Noe.
Maybe the lucky ones will share a jail cell with him.
Or maybe they can sleep in Mark FOley's spare room.
Many loyal Repugnicants are going to wake up Novmeber 8th and find themselves unemployed. Pepper and Portune will clean house at the County. AND YES, ALL YOU COURTHOUS PATRONAGE HACKS THAT MEANS YOU TOO. Strickland will at the state. All of Chabothead's trustfund babies might have to get real jobs or go to law school.
The lucky Repugnicants will be out of a job only.
Many others are going to jail and will be disbarred.
Hope you Repugnicants saved enough money to cover your legal fees. You will be foolish to depend on the likes of Chimpy McBushhitler, Bob Taft, George Vincent, Bob Bennett, or the other Repugnicants at the top of the food chain. You will find that your loyalty to them was sorely misguided and they will throw you to the ground like a cheap suit.
You know, like the kind Chabothead wears. Why ruin a $800 suit with all that combover oil?
"Cranley has a record of getting things done for Cincinnati."
If you call increased taxes, soaring drug/gang problems, and record murders a "record of getting things done for Cincinnati," then yes-he could have the bridge built by now.

The food was terrible and for a while I was thinking that she was going to get stood up again. Remember when John Boehner was supposed to show up at Jean's Sharonville fundraiser and didn't. Only so many people will pay to see Jean and her prune faced sister.
