Laura Bush at the Museum Center

First Lady Laura Bush praised Rep. Steve Chabot as a man who can help her husband be successful in the last two years of his presidency.

At a luncheon fundraising event for Chabot in the basement of the Cincinnati Museum Center, the first lady rattled off a long list of what she said were Chabot's "great record of support and help for his district."

In the audience for the fundraiser were the families of four area servicemen who have lost their lives in Iraq.

The fundraising event raised at least $170,000 for Chabot, who is locked in a difficult re-election campaign.

After the lunch, Mrs. Bush, accompanied by Chabot, his wife and mother, did a walking tour of the Cincinnati Children's Museum, where the First Lady played with children and posed for dozens of photographs taken by the kids' mothers and fathers.

I am not too sure who the two people who previously posted on this website are, but I can tell you that I am a wounded veteran from Congressman Chabot's district(I have a feeling they are not, nor have they been to Iraq), but I give every bit of support to Mr. Chabot that I can. He is an amazing man who was kind enough to call ask if there was anything I needed in the hospital. He has represented our district for a long time and done a great job.

Keep him in office.

I'm a veteran also and I think Chabot has been nothing but a rubber stamp for Bush's quagmire in Iraq. Now we're preparing to bomb Iran which is a huge mistake because our military is already overstretched.

Bush's failed policies have made us weak and hated throughout the world. We have lost the battle for hearts and minds while sacrificing the constitution and our civil libeties.

What has Chabot done for this district?

We've lost more soldiers than people in the WTC and there's no end in sight. Jack Murtha is right to call for a withdrawl. Bring our boys back home where they belong.

John Cranleys wrong on this issue too!
