My name is Jim Parker and I was the first Democratic candidate for Congress to announce that I am running against Jean Schmidt. I've been asking the people of Southern Ohio for their support since September of 2005.

I want the people of Southern Ohio to know that I not only support, but I also believe in Ted Strickland. He will be a great Ohio Governor. His honesty and willingness to take up the fight for working families, children and senior citizens are honorable character traits.

It's good to see that six of the seven counties in the Southern Ohio 2nd Congressional District have endorsed Ted Strickland for Governor. Adams, Brown, Clermont, Pike, Scioto and Warren Counties have all joined together to offer their public endorsement of Ted Strickland. I believe that Hamilton County will join this group of counties that have endorsed him. It is only a matter of time. I am proud of the people of Southern Ohio for standing up for the right kind of person to provide future leadership to the entire state of Ohio.

Maybe we can restore trust and dignity, not only to Washington, but also to the government of Ohio!

Jim Parker, MBA/MHA
Democratic Candidate for US Congress
Southern Ohio - 2nd District - 2006
