Brinkman still thinking about run

Ohio state Rep. Tom Brinkman of Cincinnati just posted a letter on his campaign Web site telling supporters that he's still thinking about challenging U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Miami Township, in the May 2 GOP primary.

Read his letter here.

Brinkman said last month after Bob McEwen, a former Ohio congressman, got into the race that he might also run. The filing deadline is in exactly one week - Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.

Jean is doing a fine job. The best was when she told off Murtha.

So what if Murtha used to be a Marine. I'm former Army and I say he deserved every shot across his bow.

He's an embarassment to all Marines when he gets his picture taken while smiling and holding up a Code Pink t-shirt.

At that point he gives up every ounce of military credibility he ever had.

Why is it that any Dem who has military experience think they deserve a God given right to denounce their brothers?

They give up that right when they collaborate with our nations enemies.

Carter, Kerry, Murtha, Harkin, Cleland, and Hackett too, can all kiss my Red, White and Blue, Army @$$, because they are an embarassment to what the military has done to make this country what it is today.

A country that has the courage to stand up to it's enemies and spit in their eye. And NOT give every terrorist who would kill ANY American! (Liberal OR Conservative) a stinking, corrupt lawyer and a terrorist bill of rights!!!

Schmidt is an embarrassment. We need a change in Washington. Brinkman would make a fine Congressman, but I think Big Bob's got the edge.

Brinkman was rated as one the most ineffective legislators in the Statehouse, lets bring him to Washington to do the same.

If your a Republican out there and you don't like Jean Schmidt then you need to look at yourself in the mirror. Jean Schmidt is the new face of Republicans, a breath of fresh air. McEwen and/or Brinkman both would be running on the platforms of Democrats. Can anyone say that the good 'ol boys are just jealous that Jean Schmidt is carrying the load of the Second District and then some.

Go Jean don't let these idiots sway you from your principles.

I've got something else for Brinkman to consider, how about trying to stay out of the headlines for a whole week. This guy does everything in his power to remain relevant, despite the fact that he is one of the most ineffective legislators in the state of Ohio.

Hey Anon @ 7:01 PM --

I agree. Anyone who disagrees with the current administration is clearly bashing the troops and conspiring with the enemy.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a neofascist rally, er, uh, Republican party meeting to attend.

While seeking nearly $15 billion in savings by trimming programs in cancer research, community policing and other areas, Bush would give a record $439.3 billion to the Pentagon, up 4.8 percent from last year.

On top of that, the White House will seek new financing for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan another 70B.

So far we have spent 260 Billion for a "war" we can't win the way we are fighting it.

Less than 70B for Amerians in the Gulf Americans biggest disaster.

hmm...who you ganna call on?

Schmidt is a total embarassment. McEwen is a lobbyist. And Brinkman is a bigot. His letter calls Schmidt a "Congressman." She's not a man. Brinkman also just introduced a bill to ban gays from adopting. Yeah, that's what the state needs to be concentrating on instead of addressing the loss of talented young people from Ohio, horrific taxes, a scandal-ridden administration, and an educational system that's worse by the day.

You really have to feel sorry for Brinkman's family. Everytime they leave the house they put brown paper bags over their heads in hopes of not being recognized. With Brinkman supporting Murtha I think he needs to quit trying to fool people into thinking he supports our troops. He truly earned the title as "Ohio's Worst Legislator"

When are people going to understand that you can support the troops but disagree with the war? It's a pretty simple concept.
