Marc Dann? Can you help with impeachment?
AP reports:
Ohio House Speaker Jon Husted says lawmakers determining whether Attorney General Marc Dann should be impeached over a sex scandal need help from an unlikely source: the attorney general himself.
Husted said Wednesday the House isn’t equipped to investigate whether Dann has committed any impeachable offenses. He says it would be helpful if Dann appointed an independent investigator to review all the information from the scandal.
Dann, the state’s top attorney, admitted an extramarital affair with an employee that he said contributed to an atmosphere in his office that led to sexual harassment claims against an aide.
Officials in both parties are calling for Dann, a Democrat, to resign. The House speaker’s request for an independent investigator is another sign that lawmakers are struggling with whether his offenses warrant impeachment.

I nominate Steve "Girls Gone Wild" Driehaus as special prosecutor and Charlie "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" Luken as his assistant.
What a bunch of stupid, ignorant Repugs we have in the Statehouse.
They can't even run an impeachment right.
I bet if they were determining how to raise gas prices or deny health care to the people it would be done already.
HAD ENOUGH DEPRAVED DANN DEMOCRATS?
VOTE REPUBLICAN 2008!
calling Butch Boldface! calling Butch Boldface!
Your hero Marc Dann would make it a lot easier if he would just resign. Then you wouldn't have to get so frustrated with lawmakers wanting to follow the correct procedures.
anon 6:17, gas prices have increased $1.60/ gal since the Dems took over control of Congress. They (Dems) campaigned on a "secret" plan to lower fuel prices (yeh, right). Also the Dollar is about half value to the Euro in this same period of time. And don't forget the housing mess.
HAD ENOUGH DEMOCRAT, VOTE '08
PS: and the Republicans are too wimpy and lack leadership
anon at 6:17...shut up. The Nancy Pelosi Premium is up to $1.29. That's right...gas is now a 1.29 higher when the dems took the Gavel in the United States Congress, and further more since Taxin Ted Strickland took over the Office of the Governor. We are paying a high price for the democrats "broken and empty promises". Remember...they all said they would do something about soaring energy cost....so shut up.
Stupid Pug-Tards fell right into the Dems' trap. Those mouth-breathing illiterates started drooling over the idea of impeaching a Dem and got caught with their pants down!
Maybe if, unlike most right-wingers, they actually read some books from time to time, they'd know what they didn't know.
Come on Mr. Speaker, there must be a way to get this done. I'm not sure but can the Feds provide assistance with this issue? Just for the investigation phase to help gather the facts?
Stay the course Marc!!!
Ohio is a swing state for the general election and the more Ohio dems mess up, the easier it will be for voters to elect Republicans in the fall. I don't know which is worse, the devil we have now or the devil we might get!!
One thing is certain, both parties in Ohio are COMPLETELY INEPT at putting forth good candidates for higher offices in the state!!!
Anon 8:03: Both parties are inept at putting up good candidates at any level of government.
Squander the squanderer I say... IMPEACH!
Please stay Marc Dann!
It'll mean a McCain victory in November.
Why is anyone surprised by this all-too-familiar democRAT immoral behavior?!
The democRATS are the party of Barney "Male Brothel" Frank, Gary "Monkey Business" Hart, NJ Governor James "I am a gay American" McGreevey, NY Governor Eliot "Client No. 9" Spitzer, and B.J. Clinton, after all!
The list goes on & on...
Marc Dann has become the fat face of the morally bankrupt Ohio democrat party.
