Mallory: Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me

Q: What does Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory have in common with Hans Christian Andersen, soul legend Marvin Gaye, singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris, baseball hall-of-famer Don Sutton, and 19th century writer Emile Zola?

A: He was born on April 2.

We don't know if any of his fellow April 2 birthday boys and girls have ever thrown birthday parties for themselves, but the mayor sure has - for the past 15 years in a row.

He plans a big one Wednesday - the day he turns 46 - at the Vernon Manor Hotel, and, as always, it's all about raising money for his campaign fund.

Hors D'ouevres, refreshments, a cash bar and, presumably, a slice of birthday cake, will be available for the price of $100. Those who are really, really happy that it's the mayor's birthday can be "silver sponsors" at $500 per ticket or "gold sponsors" at $1,000 each.

Will Elite be handling security at the mayor's birthday?

I doubt any of the Mayor's former West End neighbors will be attending, after Mallory sold out to CityLink. Dayton Street the historic "Millionaire's Row" will now become Cincinnati's SkidRow. Thanks Mark. The West End supports your family to acheive political fortunes, and you move and sh.t on your old neighbors. You can tell an animal by what they leave behind. Happy Fricking Birthday!!!

Your forgotten neighbors.

I am so glad our do nothing piece of crap mayor has something to celebrate. I wonder what the perpetrators of Citylink gave him as a present. More than that, I wonder what his former neighbors on Dayton street got him; and whether or not it fits.

There hasn't been a Mallory worth their weight in salt since Bill Sr -

When is anyone going to expose the life style of Bill Jr?

He really wants to raise money to buy bling, so he can look the the Mayor of Detroit. Its only appropriate, since he made Cincinnati look like Detroit.

4/2 is his birthday? Ouch, because 4/2 was the day of Opening Day last year.

Instead of a birthday cake, maybe all the guests should receive a s*it sandwich. It's what he's been feeding everyone in Cincinnati since his election.

Mayor Mallory thinks the banks project is moving forward because of HIS LEADERSHIP! Has anyone told him if it was not for the county it would never be moving forward. This guy has no clue on what is going on in this city. He was against the banks project!

"His watch, His CREDIT !"

Make sure you thank him and his equally worthless brother Dale for pandering to suburban wacados at Crossroads, who continue to try forcing CityLink down the city's throat. A hundred thousand sq foot social service mall is just what this city needs to bring taxpayers back to the urban core............NOT! The only good news is, they don't have the money to do it yet so, DON'T GIVE MONEY TO CROSSROADS!

DON'T
