Schmidt on Brinkman

From Malia Rulon in Washington:

Not long after she called supporters at Clermont County GOP headquarters in Batavia to thank them for her solid primary win, Rep. Jean Schmidt shrugged off the challenge she faced from Tom Brinkman. Brinkman, who entered the primary only in December, is a strict conservative. For instance, he sponsored a bill in the Ohio legislature to make all abortions felonies.
"It's a free country," Schmidt said. "He's a fringe candidate."

Dear God,

Please let Jean Schmidt lose in November, so we can replace her with a real Republican in 2010.

Amen.

It's official: COAST is TOAST!

Now Brinkman can resume his life's work as a printer at his wife's printing business.

Schmidt is a ding dong.

It wasn't a "solid" victory; it was a butt-kicking

I would say Jean Schmidt should try winning with class, but we should know by now that Schmidt will never do anything with class.

The dogs bark, and the caravan moves on. Chew on this landslide victory over Brinky, you Jean-haters, and I hope it sticks in your craw. Way to win, Jean!

Has Tom Brinkman called to congratulate Congresswoman Jean Schmidt yet? No? Guess I shouldn't be surprised...

Brinkman is a classless, clueless, loser.

Tom's a good guy, but he did let a lasting stinker in the anti-abortion elevator...there is plenty out there to advocate for or against w/o waging war over old, stale poop

I hope Brinkman and the rest of the COAST fools crawl back into their holes for good. Hamilton County is a lot better without them.

As of this morning I was undecided as to who I'm supporting in November. But thanks to Jean Schmidt and her obnoxious supporters, I now slightly lean towards Wulsin. Good job guys.

Hey DR, vote Democrat. We don't want a fool like you polluting the Republican rank and file. You don't know "obnoxious supporters" until you see the nasty, twisted anti-Jean Schmidt garbage that's posted continually by the fringe types who claim to be conservatives but aren't. Apparently you don't get out much or read much on the blogs. Broaden your horizons, dude, and wise up to the really obnoxious
"hate Jean" crowd. Then decide who merits your vote. If you pitch your vote into the abyss by voting Democrat, you deserve what you'll get--which is a wasted vote and a defeated liberal Democrat candidate.

1:46 - Considering that Schmidt had to survive a recount to win last time, I don't think the Schmidt campaign is in any position to throw away votes. The only value of your diatribe is it shows how a Republican can nearly lose a district that is one of the safest Republican districts in the country. Republicans seem to be trying very hard to lose this seat.

Anonymous at 7:46 pm, 3/6, just as I thought. You are indeed one of the Jean-haters. I invite you to take a long walk off a short pier. You have nothing of value to contribute.

You're right anonymous 10:59. If that fool didn't support Schmidt in the primary, he should support Wulsin in November

Wacky Wulsin will lose to Congresswoman Schmidt by double digits. Book it.
