Mike Allen on Gov. Spitzer

When New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer went before cameras Monday to apologize for his alleged involvement in a prostitution scandal that could end his political career, Mike Allen knew how he felt.

“To be honest, when I saw (Spitzer’s apology) yesterday, I was the first one I thought of," Allen said.

At least Mike Allen was thought of as being a nice guy.

This Spitzer fellow was hated by everybody. He set out to destroy his enemies and after being sworn in as govoner he tried to dig up dirt on his opponet.

Yeah, that nice, warm, fuzzy guy who never saw a death penalty he didn't like!

It is always SO much more satisfying when an ass**** goes down. I hope he chokes on his own vomit.

at least Spitzer did it with a woman. Most of you Gay Old Party pervs get caught with young boys.

Notice how Horndog 81 is having a PR firm push him as an "expert" for commentary? Yuck.

Still sad for his beautiful wife and 3 girls. They didn't do anything to deserve that.

This media conspiracy to remake Mike Allen's reputation is disgusting.

The Disgraced Former Prosecutor Who Cheated On His Judge Wife With His Employee On County Time In His County Office And Withdrew His Name From The Ballot For Re-Election After Resigning As Bush's Southwest Ohio Re-Election Committee Chair makes the rounds on WXIX and WKRC. It's patently offensive, and of course now the corporate, shall we say, Kristens, at The "No Bad News About Chiquita Now" Enquirer have joined the bandwagon.

Blech!

I lived in New York while Spitzer was attorney general. In no way was he despised by everyone, as 3:21 says. There were people on Wall Street that hated him because he actually came after them when they committed crimes. The everyday people, though, respected him and thought he did a great job. I was sorry to hear about this--it's tragic on several levels.

And like Hill, he's still trying to figure out to spin it. Just resign already, jerk.

Mike Allen was a slimeball before for doing what he did. He's an even bigger slimeball now for using a PR firm to push him as an expert on this. Disgusting.

Wow. Most media have on former generals to talk about military, professors to talk about the economy, lawyers to talk about judicial issues, etc.

And the Enquirer has a former sex-scandal-sunken politician to analyze another sex scandal and infuse pity.

Classy.

Another great Cincinnati LOSER. Hasn't this man been in public office forever. Our jails wouldn't be so crowded if this jerk and his team lived in the real world and not some fantisy land where everyone is a criminal for just not liking him and his politics.

? ? ? ? ? ? ?

But, he was still a nice guy. If you ran into him at the Harvest Home Festival he would speak to you. I do not know him personally, ran into him once at a festival and introuced myself as a grad from a competing GCL school. He was polite, and we poked fun at each other's schools.

As far as the death penalty goes, he was doing his job. That is one of the factors that makes him a nice guy. Consider that the proscecutors up there in Cuyahoga County do not pursue the death penalty to the extent that we do here in Hamilton County.

But, of course, as the Democrats make inroads in county government, we will go the way of Cuyahoga County. By then the normal and intelligent productive tax-paying citizens will have fled to Clermont, Warren, Butler, Dearborn, Kenton, Campbell and Boone Counties.

Our new govoner has just commuted the death sentence of a person who has murdered TWO people. This is nonsense.

WHAT IF this murderer requires open heart surgery. WHO pays for it. Would not we be better served if the murder were executed.

Are you happy that the murdered of Polly Klaus is still alive?

I agree that's low. Mike Allen was actually on Larry King Live midnight special last night!

Are you kidding me????????????? Get a grip Mike!

Get outta here.Clinton REFUSED to resign insisting that the country suffer for his carnal cravings.
Get outta here.Watch Spitzer be given a lofty gig at a university teaching law for his shortcomings as a public servant/husband.You LIBS blow my mind.Get me outta here!

"HORNDOG 69" should know how Gov. Spitzer felt! Mike Allen is a disgrace today, yesterday and tomorrow! Why Fox 19 EVER hired him as an "expert" on anything is way beyond my comprehension!
Mike Allen what a Cincinnati EMBARRASSMENT!
Thank God he's no longer Hamilton County Prosecutor!

Mike Allen quotes from Enquirer today:
"I'm sure he's assessing his political vulnerabilities. That'a the FIRST thing that goes through your mind."
& then...
"You have to think of your family FIRST."
Go back in your hole, Mike.

West Side idiot at 9:18- I presume that you mean Governor instead of govoner? If the Dems cleaning up County government means that knuckle-dragging morons like you leave the County then I am voting Dem across the board.

And to right-wing asshat at 10:16; 'JEEZIS' is looking at you for not screaming for Larry "Wide Stance" Craig and Senator David "Diaper Loving" Vitter to resign. He's also looking at all of the Gay Old Pervert sex offenders infesting this nation. You right wing nut jobs have ruined this nations economy. But we should thank you because you are going to cause a Dem majority to sweep into power that will rule this nation for the next three decades. Just like when we cleaned up the last great republican mess; the Great Depression.

You are going down, wingnut, so why not just do all of us a favour and leave the Country now?

Ohio's trying to pass a bill to make hate crimes against homosexuals illegal and the Enquirer allows hateful rhetoric on this blog. So how does everyone think that bill's going to go?

at 2:12 PM, March 12, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Aren't CRIMES against gays already ILLEGAL??

I don't understand why the wives are always forced to stand next to their husband while they admit to their scandal. Why should they be further punished. Did you guys catch that Dr. Laura nutcase saying in these situations it's the wife's fault for not doing her "job".....ha! if I were a woman in these situations my "job" right now would be to find a barracuda divorce lawyer!

My take on this is after two years, the public will realize that the Dems are fleecing them to support the lazy, breeding, non productive.
Then the Republicans can restore sanity and prosperity.
There is no such thing as a free lunch, free health care, free housing and free college tuition.
Wake up America!

Why the heck is Mike Allen making the rounds on national TV about his affair? I'm tired of seeing his face already.

at 12:12 AM, March 13, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mike Allen looks really sad.
Pensive, even.

at 11:17 AM, March 13, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mike actually said one thing I agreed with. That Spitzer shouldn't have made his wife stand by his side for the cameras? Why do they do that? Rina McGreevey, ect. I'm a guy and don't understand it. I'd have decked him and went on a shopping spree with his credit cards. As far as the cameras go...he'd be on his own.

10:36 PM, Sorry wingnut you are too late, America has already awaken. The public has realized that the Repugs have fleecing them to support the wealthy, the high, the mighty, and their fat cat big business contributors. The Democrats will restore sanity and prosperity to this nation. Just like when we cleaned up after the last great repug mess- The Great Depression.

Nice wedding ring, Mike.

at 5:11 PM, March 13, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Think of your family Mike. Don't have a PR firm seek out the media to get you print time, and airtime. All you have done is embarrass your wife, (now former - why the ring Mike) and your children.

Mike you're pathetic. Spitzer paid $4500, you paid $40,000. Spitzer "got off" for less than you.

Well.. the thing that gets us "LIBS" all fired up is that some conservative Republicans in office wrap themselves in the American flag and family values, and then turn out to be hypocrites and cheat on their wives and engage in other immoral activity. Not all of them - nowhere NEAR all of them - do this.. but when it does happen, that's why we get fired up about these things. We don't agree with Bill Clinton's infidelity, or for that matter, Spitzer's. But the reason we get so worked up about Republicans who cheat is because we're tired of their "holier than thou" attitude toward Democrats.
.. and I'm not sure who this "JEEZIS" person is you're talking about, but I'm sure he would agree.

at 10:27 AM, March 14, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mike has, quite clearly, lost his mind.

at 12:35 PM, March 14, 2008 Anonymous Anonymous said...

Who in his right mind would go on record and national TV stating that the first person he thought of when he heard about Spitzer was himself. How about thinking about your wife and your kids and how hurtful your behavior has been. Why in the world would you want to remind everyone two years later of your stupidity? The self-centeredness of these men is appalling.

What's Mike's educational backround? Does he really think the Cincinnati public will take him seriously ever again?
Cincinnati will not give him a pass like the rest of the country did from Bill Clinton.
Additional education is required!

To all the Repugs out there still popping champagne corks over Spitzer, consider this:

Spitzer was born into priviledge

Spitzer's daddy financed his first run for office at age 35

Spitzer moralized against prostitution while using them for his own sexual gratification

Spitzer crusaded against financial crimes while commiting those same crimes himself.

Spitzer, by all accounts, thought he was morally superior to those around him.

Spitzer sure sounds like every other Repug.

He would certainly fit in to the Gang Of Perverts but NY, like so many other places, went solid Democratic after the Repugs ran the place into the ground. Nelson Rockefeller, John Lindsay, your typical Repug sons of priviledge who can't do anything right except loot the public treasury for themselves and their cronies, for all you history-deprived, non-book-reading right-wingers.
