Firefighters endorse Driehaus

Bring back John Cranley. I've never heard of this Driehouse guy.
Obama in '08!
the firefighters should be ashamed. Steve Chabot has been a long time friend of local fire-fighters.
This is great news! Steve Driehaus will be a great Congressman.
Finally, ordinary working people are no longer blinded by the Combover. All it took was an illegal war, record deficits, $3/gallon gas, a few million forceclosures, a few million jobs sent to China, and a few sex scandals for everyone to figure out the Repugs weren't what they advertised themselves to be.
Of course the Firefighters would endorse Driehaus. They will have job security forever playing hospital taxi driver for all his welfare leaches.
This guy seems very qualified. Time for combover to retire and let some new blood in!
anon 2:04 said that Chabot was a longtime friend of the firefighters. Not from what I have heard. The article makes it sound like Chabot backed down when he had the chance to vote for an important issue for the firefighters. Some friend!
Drip-Drip Driphaus will be crushed by Steve Chabot. The list of democRATS defeated by Chabot will have another victim added in November.
"This guy seems very qualified."
Has Steve Driehaus ever had a real "paying" job?
Name one thing Driehaus did in Columbus in the last seven years??? I sure can't and i'm a Dem Precicnt exec! Bring back Cranley!
Has Steve Chabot ever had a real 'paying' job?
Dreihaus is a powerhouse on the West Side, which used to be Chabot's base. This one will be decided by the West Siders folks.
Isn't it always true that goofy, no idea, LIBERALS insult Cincinnati and cheapen the Democrat Party by making rude personal comments (about Chabots hair) instead of staying with the issues. Why don't you losers just go away (or grow up). And I am not a Chabot supporter.
Hey, Mr. Dem "Precinct Exec."
Nice try, but "Precinct Executive" is a Repug term. You're showing your true Repug colors there, buddy.
I should know, I used to be one. Then I saw how utterly corrupt, hateful, full of themselves, and really ineffective those clowns were.
So, no, I am not a Dem. Just a committed Independent.
Anonymous people can get on here and say what they want. It's not gonna change the outcome.
What's changing the outcome is the utter misery the Repugs are inflicting upon the citizenry at every level of government in every imaginable way.
There is the illegal war costing how many thousands of lives.
There is the economy, rife with giving corporations tax breaks for sending jobs overseas, and recieving campaign contributions from them.
The Repugs are in bed with the oil companies as the cost of gas has tripled while Texas oilmen run the White House.
Imagine how outraged the Repugs would be and the corporate news media enablers on Faux News would be if the cost of chicken tripled during the Clinton Era.
Now we have the subprime mess brought about by greedy mortgage brokers who got free rein to swindle working Americans while buying off government officials with campaign contributions.
Repugs have robbed our education system of billions while they steer taxpayer dollars to charter school mismanagers who have, once again, given back millions in campaign contributions to Repugs. The fact that charter schools are so bad that many of its students are regressing does nothing to awaken the conscience of the Repugs.
Basically, the Repugnicant Party is allowing a few to make millions or billions while swindling ordinary Americans and looting the public treasury.
Defend that.
It is so obvious that his hair is a joke. How can he not realize that he would be taken much more seriously if he would just get a haircut. Makes me wonder about his judgement in other areas!
Driehaus has not represented the Westside or any place else well while being the so-called State Representative. He and his sister, Debbie, are both losers in the political arena!
Steve Driehaus should just give it up no matter who endorses him. Chabot will smash him!!
"Dreihaus is a powerhouse on the West Side, which used to be Chabot's base. This one will be decided by the West Siders folks."
I've lived in Green Township for my entire life, 50 years, and have never heard of Driehaus until this year.
Driving out to Cranley's HQ in '06, I noticed all of the yards that had Chatbot and Driehaus signs. For those folks, Chabot over Cranley was a no brainer. Now they have to choose.
Driehaus is a much stronger candidate and anybody who understands the politics of the Westside knows that.
Oh, Exgop, Precinct Executive is a term of the BoE, not of either party. The Dems use it too.
Get ready for the following phrases to roll easily off the the tongue:
Congressman Driehaus
Congresswoman Schmidt
President Hillary or
President Obama
Represenative Pillich
COunty Recorder Wayne Coates
County Treasurer Steve Brinker
County Clerk of Courts Martha Good
Judge Norma Holt Davis
This is going to be such a washout for the Repugs this year that they will think of Election Night 2006 as "the good old days."
If they lost big with $2.50/gallon gas, wait till gas is over $3 a gallon.
If they lost big when there were 3,000 Americans killed in Iraq, wait till we pass the 5,000 mark.
If they lost big when we spent $500,000,000,000 on this illegal war, wait till we hit the trillion mark.
If they lost big when the dollar was on par with the Euro, wait till they face the voters when Chimpy McHitler has plunged us into his 2nd recession and the dollar is worth less than the Canadian loonie, on its way to even-Steven with the peso. (Well, that will take care of some of the 12 million illegals BushCo let into the country to drive down working-class wages.)
If they lost big when Bob Ney and Mark Foley were the only criminal Repugs in Congress, wait till they face the voters with 8-10 more Congress criminals' mug shots on the TV commercials.
If they lost big when the housing sector of the economy was running well, wait till they face the voters with 2 million more American families in foreclosure and entire communities devastated by Repug housing/lending policies.
If they lost big when Bush and the Repugs gave corporations tax breaks for sending 2 million U.S. jobs overseas, wait till they face the voters with 5 million Americans being replaced by people too lazy to sneak in illegally.
If they lost big-time wehn the American public didn't know that Bush's Consumer Product Safety Commission was looking the other way while China poisoned American kids and pets, wait till the voters go in to the booth fully aware of how damaging and literally life-threatening Repug policies have been to them.
Bush, Cheney and the Repugs have made America hated around the world and Americans too poor to travel anyway.
Finally, if they lost big with corrupt Repugs like Ken Blackwell couting the votes, imagine how big they will lose when the votes are finally counted honestly.
The Great Myth used to hold that we had two political parties, each with their own ideas and visions for making America stronger and more prosperous. Now, there is only one political party committed to that goal.
The people currently running the Repugnicant Party would literally let each and every one of the people reading this, even their most loyal party stalwarts, die a horrible death if the alternative was that some industrialist somewhere might not make as much money as he or she had wanted to.
Thanks to the Repugs, the insurance companies can take life-saving medical treatments out of your hands.
Thanks to the Repugs, corporations can take your jobs and your health insurance with it and hire someone in another country and pay them less.
Thanks to the Repugs, corporations can kill you, your children, and your pets with unsafe and poisonous products and there is nothing you can do about it.
Thanks to the Repugs, America's senior citizens are paying twice as much for life-saving medicines as they were before.
Oh, yeah, don't forget the record budget deficits and trade deficits we are running up just so the wealthiest one percent of us can pay fewer taxes.
HAD ENOUGH DEMOCRAT, VOTE 2008
