Standing room only for three former governors
Three former governors -- Bob Taft, John Gilligan and Richard Celeste -- will participate in a panel discussion Sunday afternoon in Columbus on state government, politics and education.
With Gov. Ted Strickland giving his first State of the State speech Wednesday, and rolling out his first budget Thursday, the ex-chief executives will be asked about their "lessons learned" in public office.
Former state Sen. Patrick Sweeney and Tom Suddes, a columnist and former statehouse reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, will moderate.
The afternoon event at the Hyatt on Capitol Square is totally booked, so it will be standing-room-only for any surprise visitors.

Taft, Celeste and Gilligan? There haven't been that many loser Ohioans together since the OSU locker room after the BCS National Championship game.
What a worthless trifecta! What information could those three possibly offer except their hard-earned lessons in scandal and incompetence?
Good to see Ted will follow the lead of 3 other incompetent governors. I had no doubt he would follow in their shoes.
Bob Tax, John Gilligan, and Dick Celeste, just who I need to spend my afternoon listening to. What could those 3 losers have to talk about, except raising taxes and breaking the law?
I have a hard time believing this is standing room only. If anyone is unfortunate enough to attend, it'll more like sleeping room only. I'd rather listen to The Three Stooges comment on Ohio government than listen to these 3 stooges. At least the former would be entertaining.
What are these guys gonna talk about - how to raise taxes and make the Buckeye State continue to lose jobs? They've got about as much credibility as Dennis Kucinich giving a speech about supply side economics...
