OK, so I'll take the bait.

What makes Portman so "loveable?"

He has been a shill for the Bush Dynasty for upteen years, and as a result has been rewarded with some nice resume-friendly positions.

But he served less than a year as US Trade Ambassador. And what has done (at all) as Director of OMB? What can he do?

He has certainly done nothing overtly wrong, has not been the subject of a personal or political scandal.

Is there actually such a thing as actual "leadership" anymore? Or are we just living in some kind of vanilla-flavored meritocracy?

Does Ohio really need a guy whose basic claim to fame is that he possesses clean-cut good looks -(just like our good friend and Univ Michigan grad George Vincent) and that he has the unqualified support of all the Methodists out there?

Where's the "Give'em hell, Harry" type?

There must be someone with a bright political future who is more than just the "choice of the downtown money crowd."

Anyway Malia, read your article...nice Puff piece. Hope you get tickets to a Reds-Nationals game for it or some other kind of reward.
