Cunningham: Strickland took "boy toy" to Italy

The transcript, from the Blackwell campaign:

HANNITY: Meanwhile sexual scandal spreading out to the Ohio gubernatorial race where democrat Ted Strickland mishandling the case of a former employeeexposing himself to children. Republican candidate Ken Blackwell went as far as suggesting that strike land actually supported pedophilia by declining tovote yes on house legislation concerning adult child sex back in 1999. Joining us from the big one WLW Bill Cunningham back to talk with us. How are you?

BILL CUNNINGHAM: Sean Hannity, it's always great to be with you.

HANNITY: I will see you in Cincinnati tomorrow. Big question why don't you bring us to what's happening inside the state of Ohio because this issue is exploding.

CUNNINGHAM: As Alan Colmes may know several weeks ago information was given to me relative to the conduct of democratic congressman Ted Strickland, afew years back when he hired campaign manager gentleman who participated in behavior before school children in a school yard four to five times those were the times he was caught. When Ted Strickland was finally notified of this instead of firing the guy, what Alan Colmes good friend Ted Strickland said.

COLMES: I have never met him.

CUNNINGHAM: Keep him on the job. Alan and Sean after the election Ted Strickland flies off to the shores of Naples, Italy in order to enjoy alittle fun with this 26-year-old boy toy. When this is going on, Ted Strickland and all democrats are claiming that if you knew mark Foley's situation might have known mark Foley, might have played tennis with him, resigned, Hastert, Boehner get out of office. I'm saying to Ted Strickland as is ken Blackwell as is Sean Hannity, if the same standard applies to Ted Strickland resign your democratic house seat. Quit the effort against ken Blackwell for governor and let the people have a real choice in this election.

Ken Blackwell, Bill Cunningham, and Sean Hannity are just a tiny part of a group who have no qualms about spreading vile slander, through innuendo and outright accusations, against anyone who stands in their way. They have totally rejected truth and decency in favor of hate, bigotry, intolerance and lies, and to them it's o.k. because their lust for power knows no bounds.
They don't care about our country or anyone in it (except as a vote).
Please, voters, look at what they're doing, and why, and reject them and all that they really represent.

Free speech is fine.

He has every right to say what he wants 1

But;

He also has the responsibility to account for libel, slander, misrepresentations.

It is clear that the whacko, cunning ham-bone has used the PUBLIC air waves to promote an agenda of propaganda !

We conservatives have a right to hold his feet to the fire, demand his replacement and fail to support the advertisers.

THAT IS CALLED FREE SPEECH !

Got it !

Now, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2006 !

Bill Cunningham has a really loud microphone and a lot of money.

That doesn't mean we should listen to him or give him ANY credibility.

This stupid rumor has nothing to do with Ted. Blackwell is scum for bringing such an old irrelevant issue back up.

When was the last time the Strickland campaign tried to say something about Blackwell's sexual orientation, marriage status, living status, or any other personal information?

They don't. Ted has respect for people. Blackwell doesn't.

Boycott Cunningham.
Fire Blackwell from the Ohio Government.
Vote TED.

This really all makes me laugh. You have Bill Cunningham, the #1 radio host in the area, loved by Democrats and Republicans alike. Vic Wulsin was even overjoyed to be on his show and here he comes on basically just trying to make a point, that if you have some rumors floating about much like the Foley "scandal" then you can go out and just say whatever you watn about it. Democrats really are hypocrites.

It is not a rumor about fondling folley. It is fact !

You have read the emails, you are just wRong wing blind to the truth !

These are not rumors about our next governor, they are LIES !

In fact, the wRong wingnuts have already fired a staffer for spreading the lies several months ago !

We once were blind, but, now we see !

HAD ENOUGH, VOTE DEMOCRAT 2006 !

To 12:32 PM anonymous,
You call it free speech, and technically, maybe it is, but for this kind of "free" speech we pay a big price, because it only serves to lower the values that ALL conscientious people adhere to, regardless of their politics.
If you can't see that, you are either stupid or willfully ignorant, and I feel sorry for you.

Bill Cunningham, Desperate Oaf. Surely, more people will listen to your show over the next 8 years while Dems rule state govt for a change- why are you complaining? No one tuned into to Rush Limbaugh once Repugnants came into power. They only listened to him rant while Clinton was fixing problems in this country rather than killing US soldiers in vain.

Here's the thing- Cunningham is using the airwaves not to report on the news, not toopin on current events - cunningham is illegally using his radio show to effect the outcome of an election via illegaluse of the airwaves. he is a lawyer - there for he knows or should know that his conduct is very close to treason - yes, treason. thisIS NOT a little thing - this is big - Larry Flynt was prohibited by law from oublishing a special edition of his hustler magazine featuring the mistresses of the republican party during the presidential campaign because it was being done "to effect the outcome of an election" -- cunningham has said as much and has lost his "newsmakers" "opinion" and "entertainment" clauses under fcc law--- now,we have to see if democrats are willing tomake a challenge on it.

There is no comparison between Foley, who stepped resigned as soon as the evidence of his importuning instant messages were presented to him. look that up, importuning is a crime. Foley is an elected official who has been caught behaving over a period of many years improperly with minors. Hastert and Reynolds were told at least a year ago, testimony indicates they were informed before the 2004 election about Foley's behavior. Rove encouraged Foley to run in 2004 rathher than persue a lobbying career because he wanted to perserve a GOP majority.

Strickland is being blamed for not being aware of an expunged record belonging to someone he employed. The fact that the record was expunged means Strickland would not have found out about it through a background check. Strickland acknowledges receiving an anonymous tip, at which point he asked his employee. There are some reports that the indecent exposure arrest occured in college and were related to streaking. A person can easily be arrested for public nudity without pedophilia. An indecent exposure arrest can occur because of public urination, streaking, a drunken batchelor party etc. and not have the hallmarks of a flasher. The fact that the record was able to be expunged indicateds the person arrested has not reoffended.

When I was in high school streaking was all the rage. My girlfriends and I streaked at another school because we didn't want to do it in front of our classmates and we did get caught and we were punished. An overzealous prosecutor could have labeled us as sexual predators even though we did it because we thought it would be fun and cool not because we got turned on exposing ourselves to minors. That children saw what we did was an accident as the school had grade school and high school and the cafeteria schedules were changed on that day without our knowledge.

To jump to the conclusion that anyone with a public indecency arrest is a pedophile is a leap that the known fcats do not support.

Bill Cunningham is pathetic
He is a major HICK
He is a fool -
He has profited by being an outrageous hate-filled provacateur
Most of his loyal audience are hate-filled -
Hope the protesters drowned out the nastiness -
Once more - Cincinnati and Ohio are covered with the slime of fools and fakers -

At what point do I have to stop reading the Enquirer?
If you guys started reporting every time Bill Cunningham shot his mouth off about something he has no clue about, you would have to start a new section in the paper. At least tell about Ted Strickland's background in social work, psychology, etc. to counter that this is just a blatant character assassination on the part of a dying campaign for governor.

Um, Ted Strickland hasn't been hitting on teen age pages and if Cunningham is referring to possible knowledge of someone else having done something improper then how does an expunged record and an anonymous tip rise to the same level as repeated warnings about Foley who was importuning pages, now, not in 1992 before he was elected, now. And last time I checked Hastert, Boehner and Reynolds, and Kolbe have not resigned.

And a real choice being no choice and a governor who can't get elected on his own merits, isn't that called a dictatorship?
