Boehner heading to "Golf Club Lane"
We're not kidding.
With Republicans worried about how their party will appeal to voters in the midst of the former Rep. Mark Foley page scandal and Rep. Bob Ney corruption scandal (he's pleading guilty to accepting a lavish golfing trip to Scotland from a lobbyist in exchange for official favors in federal court tomorrow), not to mention the Gov. Bob Taft scandal for failing to report golfing fees he was given, GOP leaders are amassing in Ohio this weekend to plot strategy.
According to the Hamilton Journal-News, House Majority Leader John Boehner, a West Chester Republican, plans to meet with gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell and "some state-level Republican candidates" on Saturday to coordinate campaign efforts.
The meeting is being held at the Butler County Republican Party headquarters, located at 5964 Golf Club Lane.

I guess that explains the unnatural tan; too much time on the golf course, while on Joe Taxpayers payroll, courtesy of some fat lobbyist.
they always go back to the scene of the crime -
yep - it's criminal to think of what these men have done and how they will plot - to be able to continue -
power corrupts - whether you are caught teeing off too many times, buying coins, etc., etc., etc.
by the way - not all lobbyists are fat - these days - and some - not very courteous -
Why isn't Boner kicking Booby Ney's arse out of the Capitol? Or cleaning up Foley's years-old messes?
The FBI, Ohio Inspector General and many other law enforcement officials have known about Ney's shakedown schemes and "special favors" for more than a decade. It's ALL documented. They should have nailed him years ago, and NOW Bob says it's the culture of Washington??? Due to his drinking? Give me a break!!!!!
