Noy admits he made a mistake, but plans other complaints
After today's Ohio Elections Commission hearing, Nathan Noy admitted he made a mistake pursuing a false statement complaint against U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt.
Before this morning, however, Noy said he was not convinced Schmidt ran the 1993 Columbus Marathon until he saw a new, original photograph of the finish-line. It shows a grimacing Schmidt trailing two other runners -- one of whom agreed to send his own original photo from Montana via overnight mail. "Now that I've seen (Dennis) Hayslett's photo, I knew it was real,'' Noy said.
"I made a mistake and it was an honest mistake," said Noy, who was accompanied at the hearing by his father, William, from Mason County, Ky.
But in the next breath, Noy vowed to file new complaints against Schmidt's attorney and her chief of staff, and an IRS complaint against the congresswoman's campaign.

anNoy, you have lost the little credibility you had, but if you want to keep digging yourself a hole, by all means, go ahead. you're a complete laughing stock, and i feel sorry for anyone who has ever taken you seriously.
Sorry, but making allegations about people without evidence to back it up is not just "a mistake." It is an abuse of the legal system, that cost an innocent person thousands of dollars in legal fees.
And he pledges to keep doing the same thing? Does the Elections Commission need any more reason to levy a fees sanction against Nate Noy than that?
Nate Noy is SUCH A JERK!
Nate Noy = IDIOT!!!!
A Bachelors, Masters, and Law Degree doesn't obtain common sense apparently.
What the hell is wrong with this annoying clown? He pledges to do it again? Since he seems to be unemployed, and facing $10,000 in legal fees and fines, I wonder who Noy's financial backers are? Could they be the cabal from COAST? Nathan, your backers have screwed you over.
To all of Jean's friends on this blog. Just because Jean wasn't proven a liar this morning does not mean that she isn't one. TLB Jean Schmidt was found guilty of misrepresenting herself to voters on 4 separate occasions last May. When you account for these convictions along with her accepting illegal contributions from lobbyists, being a puppet for Larry Householder and being tied in with Tom Noe, I guess Jean should be congratulated for finally telling the truth.
All Schmidt heads out there need to realize that there are some serious questions about Jean that have not yet been approached. Give it time, they will appear and Jean will be back defending her tarnished reputation in front of the OEC.
I am no Jean Schmidt fan but this is rediculous. How many more stupid irrelevant charges is Nate Noy going to file against her. Why doesn't he start actually campaigning against her since he is running for her seat as a write-in instead of wasting all of his time leveling unfounded acusations at her. There is only one solution to ending this circus side show: vote for Dr. Victoria Wulsin for congress. Dump Jean Schmidt, send Nate Noy back to Tom Brinkman, and put someone in congress that is going to represent the 2nd district with dignity.
did someone actually use "dignity" and "victoria wulsin" in the same paragraph?
i question the dignity of anyone who uses third world country AIDS patients as human lab rats to test an outrageous hypothesis.
This is TNP writing.
Nathan ("Portnoy's Complaint") Noy's complaint was shot down unanimously by the OEC, as expected. But will he just shut up and fade away? Apparently not. Does he need to be sued into silence? Maybe. But for the time being, the old Bedouin saying comes to mind: "The dogs bark and the caravan moves on."
