Pepper proudly produces poll

A poll -- expected to be released Wednesday -- will show David Pepper doing well in his campaign against incumbent Hamilton County Commissioner Phil Heimlich.

It also will show "how people feel about the county (as a) government," Pepper spokeswoman Bridget Doherty said today.

She called the Enquirer to ask if it would run a story about the polls results in the newspaper instead of this blog.

The Enquirer declined, noting that its custom on polls is to write about them only if they are independent polls -- not paid for by the candidates.

Those go in this blog.

The Enquirer saves it's valuable newspere space so hack-in-chief's Slimeball Perry and Bronson can write blatanly biased pro Heimlich stories. This paper really is a disgrace.

How much is Phil paying you Slimeball? We all know why Bronson does it-just for the brownie points!

So, what is your point ??

Why post this preamble ??

I hope you don't think that adds credibility or integrity to the wRong wingnut fishwrap ??

It merely demonstrates you are willing to do anything to sling elephant dug, even if it means painting a campaign media director in an unfavorable light due to your political bias !!

PATHETIC !!!

Interesting. Because The Enquirer ran a story on a poll paid for by Pat DeWine on Jan. 24, 2004, in DeWine's commission race.

Here is a poll that I bet won't make the fishwrap elephant dug print, as well:

SurveyUSA Poll: Strickland Leads by 22

Columbus, Ohio - Ohio gubernatorial candidate Congressman Ted Strickland has extended his lead to 22 points over Republican nominee Ken Blackwell in an independent poll released today by SurveyUSA.

Strickland leads Blackwell 57 % to 35% percent in today's poll, picking up six points since the last SurveyUSA poll was released in June. Strickland is attracting 22% of Republican voters and leads 5 to 2 among independents, according to the survey conducted August 5 to August 7.

Recent nonpartisan, independent polls conducted by the Columbus Dispatch, Rasmussen Reports and SurveyUSA have all shown Strickland leading by double digits.

Today's poll showed Strickland with strong leads among moderates, 7 to 2, and a 35 % lead among younger voters. Strickland extended his lead among men to 15%, according to the poll which had a +/- 4.4% margin of error.

In June, SurveyUSA found Strickland leading Blackwell 53% to 37% among likely voters.

I wish Perry would regurgitate every sidebar conversation he has with Phil Heimlich--like when he agrees to put stories on the front page as long as he gets the exclusive, etc.

Yes, she's gorgeous, but she is also extremely intelligent!

She's not as hot as Greg Landsman, though.

hey is that Peter Deane? What happened to your worthless poetry, nearly as worthless as your posts here. Too ashamed about the OH-2 primary to print your name?

Kimball,

What about the DeWine Poll in Jan 24, 2004? You should address this.

As a long time subscriber to the Enquirer I would like to know what the policy is on this. In fact, I believe I am entitled to this information.

The Dean and Bearman just nailed Kimball Perry as a liar or an incompetent who doesn't know his own paper's policy.

The Enquirer policy of not publishing articles using internal polls appears to apply only to David Pepper because Phil "Uncle Carl's Boy" Heimlich is in freefall.

Kimball Perry has been the Enquirer's waterboy for Heimlich since he came on board a few years ago. Other reporters know it and would refuse to crawl this low. Many good reporters have fled the Enquirer and found work elsewhere. Presumably Mr. Perry needs the job.

Hey, what about the poll conducted by Ken Lucas that ran in The Enquirer just last week?

Something smells rotten.

Did you guys change your policy since last week? Pat Crowley published Ken Lucas' poll in the 1 August edition of the Kentucky Enquirer. http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060801/NEWS0103/608010355/-1/CINCI

I know you just don't like Pepper, Kimball, but don't lie about it to Bridget Doherty. She's a smarter, better, and more qualified reporter than you'll ever be.

Joe Wessels at the Post reports the Pepper poll.

The poll, conducted by Washington, D.C.-based Lake Research Partners, showed 42 percent of respondents favored Pepper to 37 percent for Heimlich, with 21 percent undecided.

(snip)

Pepper is touting himself as "The Heimlich Remover" - a play on Heimlich's father, Dr. Henry Heimlich's anti-choking technique known as the Heimlich maneuver.
