Meanwhile, her former aide, Scott Gehring, will be passing out his resume at various polling locations today.

I guess she's decided to campaign after all...

Dem signs?? How about the Sam Malone and Chris Monzel signs her aides were caught red-handed thiefing in Westwood?

And where is Scott Gehring? Probably hiding under a rock in Price Hill.

JEERS to Scott Gehring, for (1) getting fired by Ghiz for his poor job performance; (2) wrecking the city council campaign of Melanie Bates; and (3) being an all-around, class-A jerk.

People have long memories in Cincinnati, Scott, and your antics over the past year will not soon be forgotten. Any hope you ever had of a political career in this town is OVER! Next!!!

Why did Scott Gehring get fired by Ms. Ghiz? Does anyone know?

Scott Gehring started his fund-raising last week in Westwood at Henke Winery on Harrison Avenue. He is planning to run for State Representative. Question is: "Will the Republican Party endorse him?"

They need to get a stronger candidate to run. May be John Eby for State Representative? This has a nice ring to it.

Just as the ANON. 1:58 p.m. asked, what is the reason Mr. Gehring was fired by Ms. Ghiz?

The official party-line reason given is that Scott resigned so that he could devote all of his time to his state rep race next year.

For a variety of reasons, that is too ridiculous to believe, but no one is asking the hard questions of Scott or Leslie.

Tell us WHY Scott Gehring was removed from Council Member Leslie Ghiz's office.

Melanie Bates is a nice person but as a candidate she was weak just as her performance at the school board is weak. This is not an insult but an opinion. Actually whatever you think of Scott Gehring he did bring up her numbers in the end. I think it was a mistake on his part to switch parties. Scott did need a job.

Since both Leslie Ghiz and Scott Gehring are both media darlings, it is more likely that the Reds will win the world series than that the truth of the matter will ever be reported.

The Cincy Jeff who posted above = imposter. Another strange effort to trick a couple people into fighting with each other.

That said, I'm glad to see Melanie Bates defeated. The downright incompetence of her work on the School Board was finally revealed, and her city council effort consisted of nothing more than reminding people her husband was shot and killed. While it's good to see Bates lose, it's too bad incumbents who are nothing but poisionous to the system - Crowley, Ghiz, and Berding - get re-elected. Re-electing all 9 incumbents will not bring the change the city needs.

At least Issue 27 was crushed and Monzel got re-elected so I was pretty happy. One of my boo birds from a couple weeks back said I wouldn't be attending any victory parties on Election Night....sorry bud, but I got 2 in.

And where is Mike Harlow ever since Malone, Winburn, Eby, etc. went down in flames?
