Schmidt and vomit

According to the Politico's Shenanigans Blog, the two had a run-in this week:
Meanwhile, today on the Hill, Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio) was seen making a spectacle of herself when the unlucky lawmaker slipped and fell in what we’re told was vomit, in a bathroom in Cannon. (Some nice female dealing with the repercussions of Jason Roe’s going away party by chance?) “She made THE biggest scene in the hallway,” says a staffer who escaped the, um, regurgitation. “It’s literally all down her back.”
So did this REALLY happen? Sort of. Here's what Schmidt chief of staff Barry Bennett had to say, via e-mail:
"Someone did get sick outside her office next to the womens bathroom and she did slip and fall. That part is true. She went home and changed. It was not as dramatic or disgusting as the blog reported."
When asked if the congresswoman was OK, Bennett responded: "Battered but fine."

I'm glad she's ok, but I'm wondering why she went home to change. That's cut and run! When things get messy, you can't just pick up and leave. Some people would think that's cowardly.

Ms. Rulon, it must be one heckova slow news day for you to waste so much internet ink reporting this trivial fluff story. Or are you just interested in publicizing anything that you think will somehow make Congresswoman Jean Schmidt look bad? The story headline is, to me at least, particularly unprofessional and ugly. You are capable of better work.

Since Jean Schmidt is my Representative in Congress I must send out my condolences to the vomit. The stench it endured must have been horrible!

to TNP at 10:58 AM, For once I agree with you-the headline IS unprofessional and ugly.Mentioning two excretory functions in a three word headline is definitely in bad taste.

I agree with TNP. Surely there are better, more important things to write about in the news. That headline is very unpleasant and misleading.

good catch tnp. those dastardly liberals never miss an opportunity to make a neoclown look foolish.

who would've thought that someone could get sick to their stomach from kool aid.

Johndwoodsr, my advice to you is increase your dietary fiber. I'll bet your eyes are brown for good reason. You may be smart enough to figure out what I mean--but maybe not.

III, you mentioned kool-aid, the preferred drink (presumably laced with arsenic) for liberal lemmings such as the dunderheads who stumble after the pseudo-scientific pied piper of man-made climate disaster, Al Gore, or the so-called "secular progressives" who worship at the altar of Osama-Obama-rama or the premenstrually-agitated feminists who stream in pursuit of whatever direction Shrillary-Hillary-Billary happens to be heading in at the moment.

Why is it that you libs are so fixated on bodily fluids, for example, semen stains on the dresses of White House interns or upchuck on the floor of a House office restroom? Get a life.

Jean Schmidt believes that the Walter Reed Hospital troubles are "overblown". Try telling that to Master Sgt. Shannon and the other injured veterans who lived in Building 18, and to the veterans suffering from PTSD, and their suffering families.

Ms Rulon, With all due respect there are more important political topics that should be addressed, and will greatly add to traffic on your blog. I would like to suggest some topics for your consideration:

-the justification of the war
-the outing of a CIA asset
-whether I Lewis Libby should be pardoned
-the firing of US Attorneys
-Whether AG Alberto Gonzales should be fired.
-The Military Commission Act of '06 (which did away with Habeas Corpus)

Please consider this request.

tnp, surely you can do better than that. you forgot to make a crack about my mother.

isn't it amazing how much dirt comes out in the wash when you lose control of the congress. seems like an hour doesn't go by when we don't hear about another crime, scandal, lie, or just plain pathetic behavior.

had enough? vote democratic.

Well, what's the betting line?
Who will be running in the Republican Primary against Jean in 2008?

Is Leslie Ghiz available to run or would she only be interested in the Ohio 1st, and presumably when Steve Cabot leaves the scene?

Sorry. I meant Steve Chabot

I can't wait for the Democrats to win! Everything will be perfect. We will have heaven and peace on Earth. Only the Democrats are right. Anything anyone else says is wrong ... no matter what. We will finally have equality and free speech. We will finally be able to stop the religious conservatives and keep them out of politics. Did I mention we're for equality.

Had Enough?

Vote Democrat 2008!!
